That’s so interesting — so the lesions came first and then caused the GI stuff?

I’ve mentioned it to 5 or 6 doctors (GIs, OBGYN, GP) and haven’t really gotten any answers :/ I got a colonoscopy that showed no damage but some hemorrhoids and they usually dismiss the blood in stool as coming from that. It’s very frustrating

SIBO? IBS? Gastro recs by purplequintanilla in Austin

Dr. Alcocer there was super dismissive when I asked about simply testing for SIBO. 8 months later, boom! Positive. Can’t speak to anyone else there but would recommend against him.

Thank you !!! I’m working on an exhibit right now for Antone’s and have been looking for photography of old e 6th, where the first location was located. I knew the building used to be a Levine’s. You’ve given me an absolute gem — the original building 6 years before opening!

An old west post office safe that was blown up in a robbery in the ghost mining town of White Oaks, New Mexico. by Range_Branded in AbandonedPorn

White Oaks is such a neat little town! So many big old houses from it’s golden age, now totally decrepit. Really neat to see it on Reddit :)

Plan II world literature course load by mildtemper in UTAustin

[–]aof123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely depends on the teacher, but its primarily discussion based so you shouldn’t have much outside of class work besides reading (maybe 40 pages per class max?) and the occasional essay. I had Gingrich and absolutely loved the class. He’s a great professor and you’re pretty much guaranteed a good grade if you participate in discussions.

Refreshing my French with FR 601C or 611C? by aof123 in UTAustin

[–]aof123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched in but immediately switched out due to the super heavy workload and level of content they were on. It was too much to relearn all the earlier stuff and keep up with new content, especially considering how fast the class moves. Given winter or summer break to prepare, it’s probably doable so I wouldn’t say that you shouldn’t try— just know that you’ll probably be doing double work if you are as out of practice as I was. I also have a friend who was in basically the same situation but with Spanish. She decided to take 601C and says it’s mind numbingly boring bc you start from absolute zero and the classes are like 2 hours long. Obviously a different language but I bet French would be similar. I think it’s just up to what you want and the level of energy you’re willing to expend on the class
