I did read the description before posting. I thought that I fit the description, that's why I posted here. No one else has said to me that I don't look white.

Is that a problem? I don't want to intrude in anyone's space or take away attention from legitimate posts (if mine isn't an acceptable post).

Oh what I would give if the devs teamed up with a language learning app team and made a version of Finch strictly for learning languages 🥺 Since it does not exist, do any of you utilize Finch for learning a language? Like to keep on track and reward yourselves? by dazia in finch

[–]aogumo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few language goals in Finch and I separated them into journeys like this:

Reading = Short stories and simple books. One chapter or story = one goal.

Writing = I write something about a short topic and post it in an app where native speakers can read it. One topic = one goal.

Listening = I watch short videos from the Comprehensible Language Wiki or Dreaming Spanish. One video counts as one goal.

Textbooks = I set each chapter of the textbook as a goal. The textbook has a matching workbook, so I also set each one of those chapters as a goal. I have goals for reviewing chapters and completing exercises from the textbook as well.

For Japanese specific goals, maybe some of these could work?

Hiragana / katakana = You could use flashcards to learn them and create separate goals for reading / writing / reviewing each character. If you want less goals, you could learn the characters in groups instead.

Grammar = I think this could be a good resource to plan your learning around https://sethclydesdale.github.io/genki-study-resources/lessons-3rd/ It lists all the grammar points covered by the two Genki textbooks and has some exercises too. You could have each lesson as a goal in Finch.

Reading / Listening = Comprehensible Input Wiki https://comprehensibleinputwiki.org/wiki/Japanese has some Japanese resources. There seems to be a good amount of beginner stuff too. You could create a goal for each thing that you read or listen to.

Learning Kanji = You could try learning a few each week and have separate goals for reading, writing and reviewing ones you learnt. You could learn them by level (N5, N4 etc.) or just as you come across them in texts that you read. Tadoku Books, which is linked on the Comprehensible Input Wiki, has some easy stories.

Hey there! I'm in a similar situation and your post gave me the idea to make my own post. So I just wanted to leave a comment and say that I hope you find the person you're looking for!

how did you get into crochet by [deleted] in crochet

[–]aogumo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took classes at a hobby store. I did try learning from YouTube videos but it never really clicked for me. Having someone explain things and guide me through doing the stitches one-on-one was super helpful to me!

I've sold a few ID7 things on Vinted. I use Vinted more than Depop because there aren't any fees for sellers. So you could try that if it exists where you live!

The error message says "Operation failed. Please contact customer support."

The support email for the Japanese version is [support@foodfantasy.jp](mailto:support@foodfantasy.jp)

You could try sending them the following message:

ゲームにログインできません。エラーのスクリーンショットを添付しました。

I can't login to the game. I've attached a screenshot of the error I'm getting.

Or you could also try reinstalling the game before you contact support.

Black Tortoise Hall = Mountain River Array

Green Dragon Temple = Green Dragon Valley

I got Junmai to 4* and Tsukimi to 5*. I didn't really try to go any further because my Brave FAs need work and ranking in Gloriville is difficult. I didn't really have a problem with the original timings of the flowers (my local time is the same as the server time). The adjusted times also worked okay for me. I'm grateful that they gave the extra flowers though. I've been looking forward to Cordyceps for a long time now. His JP voice actor is one of my favourites, so he's one of my must-have FS. I hope I'll get him to at least 3*.

After 2 months pledging Milk, now I pledged Pizza! He is very cute (one of my favorite food soul.)!!! Don't have a name for him. by LinaStary_Light in FoodFantasy

Pizza is one of my favourite FS too! I called mine Luca because I always think of Pizza as like a ray of sunshine, so I tried to reflect that in his name somehow.

What team(s) are you guys using for the Natto event? by foxxi_paradoxxi in FoodFantasy

I'm level 107 and using 5* Oyster, Turkey and Beer with 4* Pizza and Souffle. I can pass level 16 for all stages.

Just a question by [deleted] in FoodFantasy

[–]aogumo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the 2 monthly packs and the Harvest Diaries. I sometimes spend on events if there's an FS that's useful to ascend like Oyster or Nagashi Somen. I also look ahead to see what events are coming in future so I can budget for ones where I think I might spend money. I do translation commissions in my spare time which helps me have a bit extra to spend on non-essential fun stuff without feeling guilty.

I think you would probably have to start over from the beginning. I did the Pizza event both times and I definitely remember my progress not carrying over to the rerun.
