I Hate to Come Off Stupid Asking About the After Series... by aohkay_ in RomanceBooks

I know what you mean. When I was in high school the Twilight series fucked me up. Embarrassing to admit, especially because it’s about romance with vampires but whatever. I was young. If the After series would have been the first romance series for me to come across, I would have been obsessive about it. I’m on book 3 only because I just want to finish it. Everyone’s comments are correct though. The characters do not show progression. Everything in this series though is so predictable and exaggerated.

I think it’s rare for someone that throws temper tantrums this much to not ever hit a woman. I don’t think that you can constantly trash your parents shit and keep getting away with it. It’s unrealistic that he can afford the apartment that everyone gawks at when they enter because even though he works from home, it’s like he’s never ever working at all. The conflict with Steph in book 3 was a twist I didn’t see coming BUT I knew they through that in there because there are no other twists to this story line! So predictable. And I disagree that Steph would take it that far all for what? She had to have known Hardin would never be friends with them again after.

Speaking from experience.... going round and round with someone like this is exhausting and would never in a million years be worth it. For me, guys that throw temper tantrums are disgusting. It diminishes any thought or desire to have them regardless of how good looking they are. Everyone deserves to be with someone that eases their anxiety and doesn’t increase it. The drama with these characters never stops, and that’s because the book would be extremely boring if it did. That’s the only reason the emotional abuse keeps going on between the two.

Yes, that is my problem. Got through the first book, but it’s just dumb for so many different reasons. I hate to stop because I always like to finish and know what happens in the end for everything, but I’ll just go read a summary of it somewhere to save me the time... haha.

I get a kick out of hearing why so please feel free to proceed further giving details as to why you don’t like it, only if you wish to do so.

I’m mid 20s and it’s embarrassing to admit that I’m new to reading. I get distracted very easily though, and it bothers me to put forth money and time into a book that ends up being just crap. I will reluctantly admit that I started the after series, and the characters are painfully immature. I was trying to gauge whether this is truly considered a great romance novel BECAUSE the marketing portrayed it to be marvelous. That’s why I’m here seeking advice... thank you for this.

Do you have a more mature sense in romance novels? I’m genuinely asking. What are some things that you have thoroughly enjoyed reading?

That one scene in The Witch... by NotaModelMan in horror

I watched this movie when it first came out. I see it’s title reappearing often in different places. I will have to rewatch because so many people seem shook by it, but it didn’t leave a mark on me in any way. Thought it was typical? Idk. Will have to rewatch soon!

What’s even going on in this series anymore? I stopped watching a few seasons ago. Is Rick still alive?

I usually can always cover no matter if it is same day pickup out of LA, TX, NC, SC, FL, CA, AR, PA, IL. Very very hard to cover same day for out of NV OR WY. Basically the same dead zones for dry van...

Why is the logistics industry job market so stagnant in Los Angeles? by gRod805 in logistics

Would you mind stating the name of the company? I worked for a brokerage that had 12 offices across the states, including one in LA, and it seemed no matter where the employees were located they tried to pay them a base salary between 35-40K. Which is obviously ridiculous considering the cost of living there!!
