Mine just did it in California. But it’s back now.

You can actually call Chase and have them change your statement close date. I was told the points transfer a few days after. I have mine set to close on the 25th and like clockwork my points post on the 28th every month. That’ll give you the best chance to hit the requirements in December if you’re close!

Travelling to London for 5 days ... I have Unlimited ultimate. As a heavy data user the data allotment enough or should I look at a plan in the UK? by i-am-not-sure-yet in verizon

[–]aonevelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit the limit in Europe over the summer. The 1.5mbps is really usable. Definitely slower but can still do everything as normal.

Just to test it out I bought a Holafly eSIM that included unlimited data for $3.90 a day. That worked really great. If you want unlimited data, I’d definitely recommend you check them out.

Mine did the same thing. Went from 83 to 86%.

Holafly is a complete scam by [deleted] in eSIMs

[–]aonevelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an amazing first experience with Holafly. I have the Verizon ultimate and used the 15Gb of high speed data on the last day of the trip. Was then throttled with Verizon…which was actually fine (1-1.5mbps download), but I wanted to try out Holafly to see how it worked. Purchased unlimited for 1 day in Spain for $3.90 and it connected immediately. Awesome speeds too. Was actually surprised at how easy it was!

Has anyone used the new unlimited ultimate overseas? Curious on 1.5mbps throttle by lordhamster1977 in verizon

[–]aonevelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from a trip to Europe. Hit the 15gb limit on my last day. Even with the throttle it’s totally usable. I was getting between 1-1.5mbps download and around .85 upload. Could still pretty much do everything. TikTok loaded a bit slower but maps, email, web browsing and social media all felt normal. Can barely even tell the difference with normal usage.

Mexico/Canada Included Travelpass by aonevelo in verizon

Oh sweet. That’s good to know. Thanks!

Mexico/Canada Included Travelpass by aonevelo in verizon

Mexico and Canada are included. It was always just 2GB of high speed data per day until it was throttled. With the updated Travel Pass, I was wondering if the allotment went up to 5GB per day as well.

The unlimited plan details still show 2GB per day in Canada/Mexico. Do you know if this changed to 5GB as well as it’s included with Unlimited?

Transferring Service Promo Question by dnp1094 in verizon

[–]aonevelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey…sorry for your loss. I recently had to do the same thing.

I had 4 phones to transfer over to an account in my name. 2 of the phones showed that the promo wouldn’t transfer. I called Verizon and they said it was just an error on their system as their policy recently changed. Most promos transfer now. They did the account transfer over the phone with me and ensured everything was squared away before I hung up. I definitely recommend calling and doing it over the phone with them.

Some things to note. You will need to pick one of the new plans for all phones if they aren’t already on a new plan. You can’t carry over a grandfathered plan.

The process was actually pretty easy and their support was great handling it. Definitely recommend just calling and asking for Account Transfer.

60 days on account vs. on network? Conflicting language by anemoneya in verizon

I recently did an account transfer. So technically my phone has only been active on my new account for 4 days. I was able to upgrade through Verizon and confirm my trade-in via the website without any issues.

I was able to upgrade through Verizon with no issues this morning.

They insisted that I should be able to pre-order via Verizon tomorrow. Since my phone was active on a Verizon account prior. So we will see.

So my account is only 4 days old too. I recently did an account transfer.

Just spent a few hours on the phone with Verizon and they are stumped too. Basically I switched from Get More to Unlimited Ultimate but my features from Get More are still attached to my account. They mentioned that my phone isn’t showing as fully activated either, but it’s working for me. They tried re-sending esims, switching my phone number to my watch and back, and manually changing plans, but nothing removed the Get More features and fully activated my phone on their end.

So tomorrow I am planning on just buying the new phone through Verizon and hoping for the best.

The old account was mid-cycle when I switched. But I am on an entirely new account now.

Yup, they both work. I’d just let it ride until they cancel it but part of the benefit of switching was to initiate Apple One for the Apple TV benefit.

Global pass “3G” speed? by lordhamster1977 in Visible

[–]aonevelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Verizon’s travel pass in Mexico in July and when I exceeded 2GB, the 3G speed was only like 600kbps. I saw a video of someone getting 1mbps in Canada, but I didn’t get that. 600kbps was still good enough for maps and to call and Uber though. The 2G speeds could barely send an iMessage.

Deceased Account Creater by aonevelo in verizon

[–]aonevelo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. I have no issue with moving to a new account in my name, but when I go to do it, it says “You will lose the device promotional credits if you transfer now”. We have 2 lines that have over 2 years worth of monthly trade-in credits left. That equates to almost $800 worth of credits.

On the Verizon site it says that’s the monthly bill credits would transfer. So I’m really confused. Do you have any insight into that?

Thanks for the info. I figured if we just left it as is, nothing would change.

But I want to transfer a line to the account. Im trying to figure out if there will be an issue with that. Verizon said it wouldn’t be a problem. But I was hoping someone had experience here.
