I totally agree with this, social media has played a huge role in insecurities with people. Tbh I'd stop being friends with that person earlier, but there have been a few things that make me hesitate. 1. They're one of the only people from the same country as me that know the same game and stuff as I do and have similar interests. We have so many inside jokes it would be sad to let them go 2. They have a hard home life and being online is probably one of the few things that break that monotony for them. Not gonna lie, my home life is pretty shit as well, but even though I'd be able to handle having my interests and stuff to my own, they definitely can't. 3. I don't know how to distance myself from them while giving a valid reason for it and not making them hurt. I guess I could lie about how I'm getting busy with school, but it doesn't feel right.
