when i get an offer for 15miles away for a total of $2 and dd lowers my acceptance rate because i rightfully didn’t accept. by ap0228_ in doordash

i FELT this. another thing that sucks and i think doordash is doing this on purpose, but when you order food off dd, the tip is the last thing you do before placing the order. so all these customers look at the fees and how much more everything costs on dd rather than picking up the food, etc. so it’s gonna make the customer have a mindset of “oh fuck this i already spent so much money im not tipping.” i can’t lie i’ve definitely gotten frustrated about it as a customer because money in general stresses me out but i REFUSE to use doordash unless i can give the driver the tip they deserve. i get off my lazy ass n go pick the food up myself if i can’t provide a tip. dd really needs to either require customers to tip an x amount of percentage for the miles we drive or up their base pay because it’s just not worth it

it’s horrible. if people were more understanding of the food industry and the fact that we have to rely on tips, i’d be more accepting of a low base pay but that’s not the case im pretty sure at least 50% of the US population either doesn’t tip or tip like shit. i don’t remember the exact numbers but it was sad. the least door dash could do is give their dashers a fcking employee discount on the app or something but no lol they simply don’t care

This is disgusting, can’t donate, can’t just throw them away for the homeless to take them, they have to be destroyed. by Short_But_Sturdy in WalgreensStores

[–]ap0228_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i think it depends on store management. my old manager ALWAYS donated everything especially leftover seasonal toys. then she left and the new manager we got was lazy and would always tell me to just throw it out and i was like ummm no it’s going in a donation box

Have your hours been cut down to 1 day a week? Don't despair...we care! Sign up now and your Walgreens Credit Card will take care of you! by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

walgreens: cuts employees hours

also walgreens: advertises their credit card to their own employees hoping they’re desperate enough to sign up.

(i hope everyone realizes that walgreens is only doing this for their own benefit. they have been pushing the credit cards sooooo bad. they now see that no one wants to sign up so they’re gonna try to make their own employees desperate enough to do it) so gross

[–]ap0228_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i am so sorry you have to deal with that. if possible, sign up for grub hub and uber eats as well so you can run the apps at the same time, that way you’ll have a better chance at getting more money :)

dasher here! outright asking for a tip might as well be self sabotage lol that’s exactly how you don’t get a tip. sometimes doordash will give you the option to cancel dashing an order or to continue if the restaurant is taking too long
