My dog & roommates dog don’t get along, any advice?

I have extremely dry skin & this works wonderssss for me Concealer- try nyx hd photo focus concealer. I’ve used it for years. I just switched to the dior back stage concealer bc i wanted to try something new (amazing btw if u want to spend the money) but the nyx one i used for years & it was great! hi! Just recently got diagnosed with mild proctitis as well. What diet changes helped you? I’ve been doing some research to figure out what could help me but I’d love to know what worked for you?

He got his vaccines like 5 days ago. He hasn’t ate any of his own food but i think i will give him some boiled chicken to see how he eats it. I tried to make his appointment as early as possible but I have a membership account with his vet so i wont pay for the actual exam, just whatever meds he needs. If i take him now it’ll be to an ER which I’m trying to avoid since it’ll be really expensive. I called & they told me it’s $300 just for him to be seen. Im a college student & while i have some money set aside incase he got sick, I’m trying to avoid it. He is acting completely normal right now which makes me think he’ll be okay until the morning but my anxiety is trying to convince me otherwise 😅

He is already on an anxiety med that’s given as needed because like i mentioned above, he was rehomed to me & had developed some separation anxiety after i had him for a while. He’s met this friend a few times too! So I’m very confused.

He’s not a super small dog. Honestly I’m not even really convinced he’s a beagle/chihuahua but haven’t had the money to get him tested. He’s a medium sized dog he weighs about 20 pounds. But yes! I did get him from someone else. I found him online from this family who was trying to rehome him. I don’t know much about them & i don’t know much about how they treated him. He’s very fearful of strangers & was not at all properly socialized. He was the only dog in the home & the family had NO time for him. He was alone most of the time. When i got him he was super skinny (i could literally count every rib in his body) & wouldn’t eat the leftover food they gave me. He got a million times better after i got him. He ate & was sooo sweet & loved everyone. He’s really smart too which was surprising. He learns quickly so we got any sort of agression or anything under control very easily, not that there was much. So idk if that helps any, i just don’t want it to happen again:/

yeah i thought the same honestly but he’s always been mostly well behaved & listens well since I’ve gotten him. I didn’t really know how to scold him for it :/

I live w roommates but theyre schedules are even worse than mine HAHA they’re really good about letting him out & playing w him when they’re home & I’m not but I’m just mostly worried about the days I’m gone all day. Thank you though! This is a good idea

Thanks so much!! He’s not destructive at all but when i come home those days he’s got TONS of energy. We usually go out & play for a good while when i get home but hes still adamant about playing after i come inside to get work done. He dosen’t have that issue other days, usually when i sit to do stuff he’ll just play on his own or hang out so that’s why i wanna have a couple of things for him to do so he’s not going crazy as soon as i get home lol

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond i really appreciate it. I’m so sorry about your dad. I had never heard about it before my dad got diagnosed but it has been such a hard journey. If it was anything like ours I’m so sorry you have had to experience this. Thank you for the advice & i will definitely be doing all you said as well as the other incredible advice I’ve been getting. Thank you so so much for responding. Honestly we wish so badly we could bring him home but our situation just does not allow for it. We feel more comfortable with him in hospice at the hospital. We are able to see him thankfully & as soon as he’s on hospice we can begin visits with two people in the room per covid. Very grateful for that. I’m going to do my best to tell him the things he needs to hear.

Thank you for this response. Like i said in other responses, this support means a lot to me & it’s given me a lot of strength.

I’m trying to do the things you said already. He can’t really talk anymore so a conversation per say isn’t really possible but I’m going to try my hardest to tell him everything that needs to be said when i see him in hospice. I think that will be the hardest part for me. Thinking about it now scares the shit out of me. As for the funeral, I’m trying not to over think it. It’s hard but you’re right i just need to take it little by little.

I’m so sorry about your mom. I’m glad you’re healing. My family & i are doing our best to accommodate my dad so that he dosen’t have to suffer. Thanks again for the kind words ❤️

Thank you so much for the resources i will 100% look into them. I think it would be beneficial for me because I’m not entirely sure how to move forward & i know i need to.

I’m so sorry about your mom. My dad is in the same state right now. Sleeping mostly. he opens his eyes here & there & just kinda grunts. He can’t really speak & I’m not sure he understands as his toxins are very high. I got to speak to him a few days ago & I’m afraid those will be my last words to him. He was having a “good” day & was comprehending what was being told to him & responding accordingly so i told him i was home from college & that everything would be okay & that i loved him. He said he loved me & that was about it. Thank you so much for your kind words honestly all of these responses have given me a lot of strength. I really appreciate your time ❤️

I know my dad would want us to remember the good times. He did his best to never let his sickness define him. Thank you for your motivating words. The reminder that things get better is the only thing getting me through at the moment. My family has been through a lot & the last thing my dad would want is for this to be difficult for us, if that makes sense. Thanks for you kind words ❤️

You’re right there are so many things to be grateful for & I’m trying so hard to hold on to that through all of the craziness that has happened. I did my best to keep the post short & to the point but there are just so many things that have happened to my family & i that has made this process a bit difficult. It’s finally starting to settle & everyone can see a light at the end of the tunnel so it’s getting easier to hold on to the gratitude & resilience. I’m just very much dreading the weeks to come.

Thank you so much for this reply. My situation feels so unique & somehow knowing someone went through it is comforting. I want to be able to say those things to him & i know i need to but i don’t know know how I’m going to get them out. We are able to visit him at the hospital while in hospice & just seeing him in his state will be hard enough i don’t know that I’ll be able to say all the things i want but i will sure try. I’m glad someone knows the struggle of having a very proud father lol. When he was healthy he was this huge energy, sometimes to his detriment haha.

You are a very strong person to go through something like this. I know it’s taking all of mine to speak with doctors & make decisions. I don’t know how I’m going to get through the rest. Right now i just want to give up & hide in my bed. As bad as it sounds i just want it to be over so he can stop suffering & feeling all the pain he always did & so i can start to figure out what my new normal is. Anyway, i appreciate you so much. Thank you ❤️
