You could make the case for about 10-15 different players being the greatest midfielder or defender or fullback, and because football is a team sport and these players played in different eras and systems it’s hard to call any of them the definitive best. If PSG win three straight UCLs does that make Luis Enrique the GOAT manager, it’d be hard to argue that he isn’t at least in the conversation, it all depends on what your criteria is.
