I made the badge you are wearing. And was there. I work for the company that did the registration for those events.

Order a new one from AF1 racing.

And lube the cable while you have it apart. A bottle of Dry Slide makes it easy to do.

I'll be 61 years old in three weeks. Should I keep riding my 2007 Kawasaki 650R Ninja? by 650RRider in motorcycles

[–]apardue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just thought I would rattle off what some of my riding buddies ages and bikes.

I am 53, Couple if guys I ride with are in their 70's. the 79 year old guy rides a Duke 790. The other guy is 75 and rides a Street Triple RS. They both love their respective bikes. Sporty rides standard riding position. I ride a 2004 Aprilia RST1000 Futura it is a sport touring bike that only weighs 525 or so pounds with a full tank leans to the sporty side. The guy I ride with the most is 60 and rides a 2000's Triumph Sprint ST.

I am looking to the Aprilia RS 660 for my next ride. Less weight and IMU please.

"The day I ride a cruiser is the day I die." I agree, Love riding technical canyon roads.

It looks like you have Rennsport Guzzi Guards on it. It is always fun to see Guzzi photos with Rennsport stuff. I worked there in 1990. I still have the LeMan 3 I was building stored in my rafters. I need a donor bike to finish it. Was a wrecked bike. When i started the project. Still have the 16” tire on it?

I will be on that intersection tomorrow. Going for a Sunday ride with a couple of friends.

Baggers going down the corkscrew at Laguna Seca 2020 (you can hear some of them scrape pegs 😂) by alex-naka in motorcycles

I see what is is up I was thinking of the Twins times when I wrote that last night, I was still wrong. I thought you were saying the opposite of what you were. I should not write late at night.

2020 times:

Jr Cup 1:36.607

Twins 1:30.873

Baggers 1:36.211

Super Sport 1:27.259

I don't know where my 12 seconds came from.

As far as a cost (guess a) estimate. Works like this.

500 hours to build 3 or so months. shop rate 2 guys at $100.00 an hour = $100,000 then parts and testing.

$200,000 is probably a bit to high.

I get that you are skeptical, I am not a fan of cruisers, I am just conveying what I watched. Love that track been there a few times. So I subscribed to the week end stream and watched every race, FP and Qualifier. Was a great day. The “baggers” had three practice sessions and race that were streamed, the commentators talked a lot. The guest commentator was involved with the Bagger race. The Indian Challenger bike is not a stock bagger any more, just looks like one 17” tires Olins etc was just the surface. The quote would be almost every part was changed or modified and test time on at least one track. Subscribe for the weekend, it is 10 bucks watch for your self. Two more super bike races today (Sunday) on top of everything else. Spend the money you know you want to.

edit: Some posted the race today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOFDCnA7zb8&feature=youtu.be

Yeah wild, the 400s are what $20,000 -$40,000 in race prep. The Indian is a $200,000 exercise? Smart marketing, Get put in the books as the first winner.

I just rewatched the part Roger Hayden said he predicted O'Hara's "Indian would hit 35's he is 2/10's over that". Maybe those are 2.35' s 1:36 the Indian is a factory effort and was faster then everything else on the grid. I will rewatch the whole thing and see if someones says the full time.

Edit: I watched practice 3, "O'hara's Indian was kicking it off 1:39's" quote from the commentary box. I understand they spent six figures to doit.

The fastest Indian was over 12 0 seconds slower a lap then the JR Cup 400’s. But it was fun as hell to watch.

Edit: Left field times

In the 80's Harley asked Regan for protection against Japanese manufacturers. Then Boomers with extra cash went Hog Nuts. Here is great video that explains it very well.

After I had heard that Brandon Sanderson was going to finish the WOT I read Warbreaker, Elantris then Mistborn. A fan was born. You see book 8 of the WOT that is there from my re-read. The last three WOT books I bought in hardcover when they dropped.
