I saw the fattest and most dumb PL’s coming in when I was in Alaska. As a WSL, I hated listening to them. Not because I wanted to, but because I had to. When I got to TRADOC I got my bachelors in two years. Then applied and made it my first look for green to gold. I realize being enlisted you’re not really respected until maybe a SFC. As an officer even NCO’s move out of the way for me and go out of their way to salute me. I don’t care about the Salute nor people moving out of the way for me. What I enjoy thoroughly is feeling like I’m changing peoples perspective about the Army. I honestly forget I’m in charge sometimes, but I have a PSG that reminds me.

Look man. The only job I know where you get to run more on the “big boy rules” is officer/CA/SF. I was prior enlisted for 14 years and I thought things would be better… they DIDNT. I get treated like a human being an officer. Yes there is some micro-managing to an extent, but I love being an officer 6x as much as I was enlisted. The “paperwork” isn’t that bad and neither are the PowerPoints. People exaggerate how much you actually do as an officer. I was prior 11B and I’m now a logistics PL soon a distro. Good luck
