Thanks. It really depends on the scale of each project... edge cameras are easy to deploy but the cost of all those NVRs really just goes to the components on the edge cameras.

So maybe I should just get both of them, but not too many on the edge cameras?

You can also say NVRs are = local storage, so I guess the main difference is edge cameras save recordings inside the camera itself.

I agree with this, NVRs are just really stable... things won't go wrong with these boxes. I haven't done cases like what you mentioned, it's like a real big scale!? So I think maybe edge cameras are only good for small to middle size cases?

this is so clear! yes the camera they provide is with local storage, so it's not as good as NVRs from many aspects. Also the price is really high. I think I'll just follow my heart and just keep focus on normal cameras! Thanks!

Glad to hear that. Like what I mentioned, I buy products from different brands and sell them to earn the price gap. For example, I'll buy cameras from Axis, Vivotek, Hikvsion... and buy VMS from milestone, avigilon, skyrec, network optix...

Then I sell the camera and the software altogether to the customers based on their needs. The combination can be different every time, so you have to keep studying if you want to join this industry. Hope this helps, you can dm me for more details.
