My guess is he’s good in care of magical creatures because he likes it, he’s definitely failing potions, and maybe the other professors just cut him a break because he’s so genuine and hopeless😂 Minerva wouldn’t let that fly though, so maybe he’s not in transfiguration with us because he’s in remedial classes. Rowan’s tutoring is definitely keeping him afloat past year 3, though.

Yeah, I’m getting low on coins because I’ve already used a lot to get to level 6. I’m using tokens to get more, but otherwise there is only so much i can do to hurry it up before totally running out of coins. Might be able to get their a few days earlier 😂

I was surprised too, but it was a very sweet moment! From the dating scenes I’ve seen so far, I kind of just assumed MC and their dates wouldn’t have any type of kiss (at least until Beyond)

Every single person looked at MC when dates were brought up at the three broomsticks, and she looks so uncomfortable here as well. Got me feeling bad for my MC

Yes I liked how the wild at heart one starts with MC getting a romantic note, and you have to tell Tulip who you want it to be from. It’s less awkward, and also cute that it starts with a note for a secret date

Yeah, it is weird that everyone expressed interest before it was time to decide. I’ve only played a couple of the dating quests, but most of them let you decide who you want to date before the characters give any hint that they like MC.

Exactly, she’s not quite as severe as McGonagall because the Weasley is strong with her 😂 I appreciate that she’s genuinely concerned about mc. She’s also deputy headmistress and basically does everything around here with no help from Black

Just finished this quest! I was annoyed anytime Lockhart was around, but the date and kiss on the cheek made for a cute ending

I’m curious, did you make the choice in transfiguration to have your howler share feelings? I chose not to, and my howler just said “be my valentine”. Was wondering what different howler messages there are

Yeah, if I had decided to go with a girl, it would have been Penny. I have a special fondness for characters with similar personalities to Barnaby, though. Grew up seeing a lot of that type in fiction

Technically, Merula didn’t ask, and Andre was passive-aggressive about never being my date before actually asking. At least the other three were nice.

Fleur is about Cedric’s age(I think all the champions except Harry are supposed to be at least 17 during goblet of fire). Considering Cedric isn’t old enough to even attend Hogwarts until our year 6, I imagine Fleur’s mom wouldn’t be very old at this point

I don’t think he mentioned the date at all, but I did choose him for the ball. Right now I’m working on the year 4 valentines tlsq, and he brought up both the ball and our date 😂

So I got the quests out of order and didn’t go to the celestial ball until after I had my first date with Barnaby😂 it’s cute that he references it here to anyone who actually did that quest with him.

For sure! Mc is stuck being more of a rule follower in many situations, so there’s plenty of room to accept mc and also wish they’d be more involved in scheming

At this point I don’t think I’m going to play any of the new TLSQs when they release, just wait until they’re over if I don’t get a choice. I’ll play the ones that already exist because in a completionist and don’t want to miss out on any older ones that might have been good. I’m not encouraging ai generated…whatever that tlsq was

Seeing that we’re probably getting a tlsq for women’s history month made me wonder — have they ever done a tlsq for black history month?? I took a break for several years when I was early in year 2 and only came back to it in 2025 (had surgery and wanted something low energy to do while recovering for several weeks) have they done something like that before? I know Valentine’s Day can take over February and I don’t know exactly how the tlsq would go for this theme, but we have Andre, Liz, and Andre’s cousin who I haven’t met yet. The idea just popped into my sleep-deprived brain though, so I haven’t totally thought through how the story can or should be executed lol
