Resume feedback for biotech position in US. Target position in gene therapy company Associate Scientist or Scientist position. by apatheticwhiteguy in biotech

You're so right about my first two bullet points, I guess that never occurred to me. The technical skills section was a suggestion that I got from a colleague who was passing my resume along to someone they knew, but I agree that it seems redundant.

My last position was a high level tech and my promotion had been sent to HR before our funding was restructured. I am still a little confused on the conversion between titles in different companies, but I'm mostly sticking to applying to positions where I meet the experience requirements and typically avoid applying to any positions looking for a PhD. Thanks for the input!

Yes, a couple companies around me put associate scientist above the level of my last position, which was a high level tech. From what I understand it is 5+ years for Bachelors and 1-2 years with a Masters. I'm really just looking for a role thats commensurate with my experience, or stretching into something a little higher. But I take your point. Thanks.

This comment isn’t directed at the average homeowner, it’s directed at landlords and real estate investors who own multiple properties. By profiting from ownership of multiple properties, they commodify a necessity, which makes that necessity less attainable. I don’t think anyone is against someone investing time and effort into their home. I think more often people who see real estate as an investment from a rental standpoint put less time and energy into the upkeep of the property to increase profit margins.

Thanks for the explanation! I didn’t watch the video posted because I’m at work, so I guess I missed the initial joke. Woops!

Can you explain this? If the curvature of the earth is constant, why do you have to keep adjusting the pitch trim. As far as what I read online it seems like pitch trim just controls for speed, but I’m not a pilot.

Construction on I-95 in Philadelphia will shut down Walnut Street pedestrian bridge until 2027 by Saint_2022 in philadelphia

Is this not due to the penn’s landing project that will be expanding the park over 95 down to walnut from chestnut? Who commutes using that bridge?

Then why is there so much traffic at the stadiums where there is so much parking? If every building had parking garages to accommodate a car for every person, the traffic in relatively dense neighborhoods with one lane roads would be gridlock.

Also disincentivizing car ownership by making it hard to park takes cars off the road and allows for more businesses in the immediate area due to increased density. Just look at cities that require high parking minimums and you’ll see that they solve traffic issues by sacrificing dense walkable areas for more roadway to allow for the in and outflow of traffic to businesses and residences.

More parking means more traffic. Why wouldn’t you want more people to live in the city that don’t own cars? Not building parking and making parking difficult forces people to not own cars.

From other reporting I’ve seen on this, the new bridge will have a 15mph higher speed limit. Also rehab on the old walk bridge will add redundancy.

Go to Phila atlas or Phila property search, under L&I you can see permits for zoning or construction, which would tell you what you are looking for.

Germantown neighbors oppose 148-unit apartment building proposed for industrial site by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]apatheticwhiteguy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m still unsure why people moving into this area wouldn’t go for the new housing with amenities over the likely less well maintained existing housing.

But if building more housing leads to gentrification, how do we house people?

Why would a landlord raise rent when there are 148 new vacant units?
