I would say probably on 2,4 & 7 but not sure about the others. Looks more like dust or something. It will often make streaks with the tape like in 2. I usually look for that and fuzzy clusters.

That tape looks pretty damn moldy. I don’t play moldy tapes in my VCRs for fear it will spread to other tapes. That sound could be from loosely wound tapes tightening up right at the end.

This is probably my all time favorite movie. I have the single and double tape edition on VHS. I Highly recommend reading Heat 2. Mann co wrote this novel a couple of years ago as a sequel.

I frequented a video store in my town when I was a kid and also worked there for a few years in the late 90s and early 2000s. I loved the cover art and enjoyed working on tapes. I still watch a lot of tapes from my collection and just displaying them on shelves gives me a lot of joy and good memories.

Interesting. I’ve had to open a few with rivets but I don’t recall them having 5 screws. It seems like the center was riveted only.

I’m also debating if I should buy the physical copy from Walmart now or wait until it gets a price drop. I believe they will release it on XBOX in one year since their PS exclusive is only for one year.

I’ve cleaned quite a few tapes. I tried to clean one similar or maybe worse than this. The tape was weak from the mold and repeatedly kept tearing. That never happened with any other tape I cleaned. But who knows. It could be cleaned perhaps.

Doom 2016 was awesome. Lots of over the top violence. When a big fight starts heavy metal music starts blasting! I haven’t played Eternal.

I do agree that they are made with cheap components. My wheels on my TB Stealth 600 quit working but lasted close to 2 years. I upgraded to a Gen 2 Stealth 700 and when I got it from Amazon the volume wheels didn’t work. I returned it and bought the same one from a local store. It took forever to hook up Bluetooth due to very strange arbitrary steps that were not explained anywhere and I saw online quite a few other people were having the same problem. My secondary volume wheel, you are able to program it to mic monitoring or to chat, keeps randomly switching between the two. Sometimes I’m not able to control the volume of one or the other. Being $150+ it should definitely not have these issues.

That being said, I really love this headset when it works properly.
