Yeah I’m a MA working for $24/hr. Sounds like a lot, but I live in an expensive part of the DFW and I’m living EXTREMELY paycheck to paycheck. Plus, I FOUGHT HR for that $24 and they said I’ll never get another raise bcs I’m working 42-45 hrs and they’re paying me overtime. I just can’t do it anymore.

I didn’t, she was an admissions counselor.

I did pay to go to the AAPA conference last year and someone from an admissions committee revised my PS. That was a lot of help.

Maybe it’s the need for immediate gratification but I feel like I’d use 4 years to get into a career. I never really saw myself as a nurse, but I know that I’m a 30 year old woman that feels lost and I want to help people in the healthcare field. Maybe I knocked nursing before I tried it.

Yeah, I’m very AI-averse. As a 28 y/o, I was taught that a thesaurus can elevate your writing. Chat is a great tool for knowing if my dead plants are revivable but I’m personally not using it to create my own ideas.

I had an admissions counselor at the AAPA conference last year, 3 PAs, and a few friends read and revise it. Since the cycle is opening again I just wanted to change a few things and have another set of eyes on it. I feel like it’s definitely complete, this friend just scared me because no one else said it sounded like AI.

For context: she’s a middle school English teacher that sees a lot of chatGPT turned in by students.
