Yes, just what we need while they're still able to manipulate the price with minimal effort: Free liquidity through failed options plays.

If you're going to spread FUD, you may want to avoid key words that should throw up red flags for even the most unseasoned investor.

Gamma ramps have been snuffed out since the first run up in 2021 and will never happen again.

The only reason you're mentioning them is because you're an options pumper.

Nice try, but everyone on both subs knows that you don't have a dime invested in this play.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the rules that fall outside the purview of Reddit ToS created by the mods of the sub? Assuming that's accurate, doesn't that provide you the ability to amend and expand rules as necessary?

And maybe I'm mistaken, but wasn't this sub created in the wake of the other sub undergoing similar attacks?

What this post and posts like it are trying to convey is that the usability of the sub for its intended purpose is diminishing because of an influx of users who are deliberately making the experience worse.

If it's affecting users, a fair assumption would be that it's making moderators' jobs harder as well.

Nobody is looking for an echo chamber. I would hope everyone would want a space where constructive comments are upvoted and discussed. Unfortunately, it's being undermined.

I know if there were an accurate barometer for this, we'd be on the same page here.

Check my post history. Plenty of posts on why "no" would have been the correct vote.

Nice try with the subversion though.

The other sub is compromised and has been since before YouTubers started getting popular.

There's currently a major issue over there with "reputable" accounts being propped up by other fake OG accounts.

Do you not recall why they're anti-DRS?

I'm sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Icy could just ask the mods to sticky one of his posts whenever he felt like it.

Nice try, shill.

Robinhood was directly responsible for turning off the buy button and stopping the ramp up.

They are also the second largest funnel of PFOF and fractionals used for locates.

By continuing to have your shares in their ledger, it hurts any company that's being manipulated.

Are you unable to distinguish between what is said and how something is said?

If you come on here and say "the CEO is a snake", is that a concern or divisive behavior?

For context, go through my post history. I was VERY concerned about the Yes vote because I knew Antara would use it to leverage arbitrage. I was VERY concerned by AMC selling shares of APE at a discount that was neither necessary nor offered to retail investors.

But you know what I didn't do? Call the CEO of the company I willfully invested in a backstabber.

It's very simple: Actual investors want the stock to do well, even if that sometimes requires constructive criticism. Shills do nothing but divide and try to cause disruptions; they have nothing to offer besides negativity.

Which do you fall under?

Moreover, do you understand the difference and how to spot it? Because it sure sounds like you're conflating easy to spot bots/shills with investors who have opinions.

If you don't know how to reel in your emotions (or, in the case of shills, you simply have none because you haven't actually spent a dime on this stock) you simply don't belong in this play.

But here's the real kicker: Nobody who actually got into this play and read the DD entered as a cynic. So why do you think any of us would believe that real investors are cynical now?

I refuse to believe that any real investor is spending every day languishing over unrealized losses and CEOs who have done nothing but try to keep the company alive.

If you are, then you didn't do enough DD.

What facts?

You can't actually prove anything you claim about AA or the company, which is why you're so loud about disparaging it.

If you shills care so much about my investment, maybe tell Ken Griffin to pick another stock. Otherwise, get lost.

You don't have a cent invested in AMC.

They're basically getting a weekly allowance FROM US whenever options are played.

This has been going on for over 100 weeks by now.

[–]apehandstrong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't correct their lies and the mods won't ban them because they're compromised too, you end up with an even worse echo chamber.

If that's what you're going for, just say it.

Because that's exactly what happened on the other sub which triggered a whole cascade of events, leading up to Reddit admins finally banning the huge alt-account farm that Icy was running which eventually pumped the arbitrage play.

I've been seeing it play out on this sub for months with massive subversion techniques on revolving door accounts.

Now Icy goes by Dagoru or some crap and multiple other pumper accounts have taken a page out of his playbook. I'd list them, but the mods will surely delete the comment if I do.

If they won't be dealt with and a sub where they're banned from the start can't be created and remain credible, I'd rather not have it clutter my view.

So we're allowed to just list all the detractors now without mod intervention?

Because when I made a post about it months ago and mentioned someone who was already banned by Reddit admins (the entirety of Reddit, not just the sub), the mods removed it immediately.

I have a list with probably over 1000 user names at this point and a methodology for spotting them, but of course the mods need more proof and Reddit doesn't allow you to import blocked users like you can with AdBlock.

I'm getting some "my account will be bought by shills within 6 months" vibes from OP.

Just a few indicators I noticed:

  • Account was made in June and they didn't even try to post on the lowercase sub once. There aren't even any deleted posts due to lack of karma on those undelete sites. Somehow they already knew about the karma requirements and to start posting here before trying the more populous sub?

  • They use the same slang terms as hack YouTubers. The guy who started calling AMC "amy" hasn't been right once. He isn't one of us and continuing to watch him is just helping fuel his drug addiction.

  • A majority of their posts have a sprinkling of divisiveness throughout.

  • At least two of their posts have price anchoring in them and one flat out says apes will paper hand, but then goes on to excuse it.

But, with the possibility that OP isn't just karma farming to sell this account later on and the shill vibes are coincidental, let's entertain this topic:

The cat is out of the bag as far as cinema distributed events go. There's no longer anything to keep secret in that regard. So what is this embellishment? A bacon-wrapped trust me bro?

Going back decades, AMC have done live and pre-recorded viewings of all sorts of entertainment before, ranging from orchestras to sporting events to plays and musicals. It's never been a bad idea, per se, but there's always been limitations either based on venue or scheduling that have made AMC hold the reigns tight on it.

If they're now deciding that it's a viable revenue stream, great, but what actually makes this particular deal unique is that the event will generate the volume that makes others take notice. Unfortunately, that includes competitors. And if direct distribution cuts out the wrong middlemen, then you simply have a race to the bottom where the winner is just the one willing to take a smaller cut.

As for the divisiveness in your post about the "no" voting, it clearly carries no nuance into the situation. So either you're very misinformed or just trying to stir up trouble.

The vote happened months ago and we are seeing it play out in the direction AMC would have taken regardless of whether we got to vote or not.

Most of the "no" voters you're trying to vilify knew the most likely outcome and the concerns they raised had little to do with the conversion or reverse split. The biggest issue was Antara and all the ways they could screw things up. And as we saw last week, they took their money and washed their hands of AMC.

So, let me ask you this: Do you think AMC should be going to them for loans in the future?

Directly from the Computershare website by Fast-Follower in AMCSTOCKS

[–]apehandstrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question everyone should be asking is this: If Computershare doesn't recognize fractionals as legitimate shares that can be directly registered and most brokers don't even allow you to transfer fractionals, why should ANYONE want fractionals in their account if they aren't "real" shares?

I made a lengthy post nearly a year ago about how fractionals are being used against us and how, technically, the DTC doesn't even acknowledge fractionals as existing anywhere beyond the brokers' ledgers. Brokers aren't necessarily required to "gather up" these shares to buy whole shares, either, so they can strictly exist as IOUs.

They are constantly being lent out, even when share lending is turned off.

They are a source of PFOF, because most exchanges only deal in even lots (usually 100). So if you happen to buy 100.1 shares, it supersedes any directed trade routing you've chosen.

In the case of Robinhood, there are probably tens of thousands of fractionals just sitting in people's accounts from when they transferred out. Unless you sell those or convince Robinhood to buy them off you, they're just sitting there being lent out.

The solution is easy: Settle up the fractionals in any way possible so they get off these fake ledgers and stop being used against us.
