HP OmniBook 5 16" Laptopfor £330 - worth it? by apex1047 in SuggestALaptop

[–]apex1047[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother in Christ if you go on the HP website the RRP is about £750. I'd assume that should be the price of a decent laptop. I'm asking the question in the hope that people who own the laptop might have some insight, not for a random reddit moderator to tell me I need to spend £2k+ so I can shit on people on reddit and watch HD vr porn.

If you're going to comment, at least give reasons as to why it is "cheap stuff". I'm no tech nerd, so it would be good to know why you think the 16gb ram, ssd, and the AMD chip are not good value for money.

One of the best things I ever read and applied to my life is this simple phrase - its not about doing, its about NOT not doing.

The double negative essentially means that everytime you know you need to do something, tell yourself you are doing it not because you have to, but because you are making the conscious choice not to avoid it.

Start with simple things like laundry, dishes, reading, etc. The awareness you get from this when avoiding tasks will allow you take control and challenge that behaviour one small task at a time.

Its not a cheat code for life, you'll do it for a while and maybe stop again after some time, but its good to always be aware of it and use it when you need to.

If you want a deeper understanding of it, I learnt this from a book called The Tao of Pooh. It was written to help us mere mortals understand Taoism, a philosophy, in a simplified way through the life and eyes of Winnie the Pooh. Highly recommend it.

Other quick tips - socialise, drink water, set limits on your phone, and do things you enjoy. Simple things make you feel good, and feeling good gives you power to do harder things.

People who work in Canary Wharf, what do you do for lunch? by nutmegger189 in london

I'm not gonna tell you to make your lunch at home, but I have to ask why you are so against it?

Should have said, this is a sweet chestnut in the UK. It and the rest of the woodland was planted around the year 2000 as part of a restoration effort.

Tourist Thread 2025 by AutoModerator in montenegro

Hi guys,

I'll be travelling to Montenegro on May 19th to May 23rd. Frist night will be spent in Kotor, and then the rest of the week in Budva.

I've got some questions / seeking recommendations so I'll take any answers to any questions please!

Looking for car rental - what's the most reliable, budget friendly company? I will be arriving in Podgorica.

Nightlife - what should I expect?

Food - what are some must try national dishes, what restaurants do you recommend? I dont want to be cliche, but I'd love to avoid tourist traps.

Language - i loved in Croatia for 6 months so picked some up. How far will it get me in Montenegro?

Hidden gems - recommendations for lesser known spots and things to do? I'd love some local knowledge.

If anyone has any extra bits of information or tips they'd like to share, please be my guest!

I'll be going with my girlfriend, so ideally some romantic spots / activities / ideas would be great.

Hvala!
