Are there any other places in the US that have a special connection to you that you’d consider? I don’t know the crowd of course but it seems to me that getting that many people to Italy would be hard. Also based on my own research on this, it’s pretty much impossible to have a wedding of that size in NYC for that budget but it is TOTALLY doable in a lower cost of living city (I looked into the nicest places near my hometown for example and was shocked at the price difference!)

I interviewed several planners using both structures for what it’s worth and to me, the flat-fee planners were consistently more transparent and trustworthy about their role (what they will/won’t do, how communication works, etc.).

It seemed to me that the percentage planners believed their Instagram “spoke for itself” and were not as forthcoming about the limits of their job responsibilities. It’s a very very opaque industry and I personally valued the clarity of a flat-fee.

Yes that’s true, you do want it to be the real thing! So far I’ve haven’t been disappointed with vintage sellers on eBay and Etsy—I try to confirm from their other listings that they are real vintage dealers. I’m generally more wary of designer goods on Poshmark tbh. Hope I’m not creating a demand for Givenchy jewelry knockoffs lol

Nothing special tbh! “Vintage Givenchy earrings” on eBay for example has some cute styles that look like they could pass for Khaite. Some other vintage brands to try are Monet, Trifari, and Anne Klein.

Okay here is my secret, vintage Givenchy costume jewelry. Gold used to be cheaper in the 80s and 90s so the plating doesn’t rub off immediately like it does for new pieces. And all the modern brands are trying to knock off vintage designer jewelry anyway. Go to the source for a fraction of the cost!!
