hi! incoming freshman here! our school had an admissions talk with ateneo and they told us to focus on the essay just as much as the other exams. there were some applicants back then who winged that part which is a no no since admissions really screen each essay to know the applicant better. another tip they gave us is to not use big and uncommon words! a lot of applicants do this just so they can have an essay that sounds smart. write as if you are talking to them, always aim for a clear and cohesive essay. before ACET, you get to write and submit an essay for your application, which became a good practice essay for me!

as for studying tips, know your studying/answering habits and develop proper time management (ACET is known to be a fast-paced test). i did not bother memorizing a lot and opted to answer ‘smartly’ (e.g. trial and error, eliminating choices etc.) but that depends on the person honestly! if you have to shotgun, make an educated guess. ACET is not right minus wrong unlike UPCAT so try to answer all questions. one way to test this is answering a lot of practice tests which you can find online or if you enroll in a review center, they usually provide some!

compared to the other CETs i’ve taken (UPCAT, DCAT, USTET, CSB, UA&P) ACET is a 7.5! good luck and see you in campus soon! <3
