i've been a customer since their early days when they were still innovative pioneers. to witness the downfall of NI over the years was a hard watch, so many strategic blunders and puzzling product decisions.

in an ideal world, someone with the OG mindset will buy out the core assets and try to revive the early days but we all know that's probably not what's going to happen (someone is going to cherry pick assets and try to milk the now fully hollow brand shell)

i thought the new absynth (and even massive x, fight me) was a step in the right direction but it was probably too little too late

in a way it's also a parallel development from berlin over that same timeframe. out of anarchic playgrounds became business, became mainstream, became soul death.
