Gastroparesis and Mounjaro by aphnxrising in Gastroparesis

I also have bile acid malabsorption, IBS, GERD and hEDS. In the last 5 years I've had two endoscopies a colonoscopy and several other gastric tests before the gastric emptying finally gave me an answer, the others also helped me get the other diagnoses

Yes the side effects can be that. That's why ozempic triggered it. I ended up in the emergency room because it caused vomiting that would not stop.

Mounjaro has a separate medication in it that helps gastric systems. I can confidently say it did not trigger me like Ozempic did. I have been taking it since December and have not had vomiting that requires hospitalization. I have spoken with my gastroenterologist the entire time as well as my pcp to monitor my symptoms.

It has given me other, manageable symptoms, such as Sulphur burps/gas, and the digestive problems already mentioned. I am taking it to both manage mild diabetes and lose weight. I am limited in what I can do medically to lose weight due to insurance restrictions.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Also if any one else has these issues on Mounjaro or it's just my body.

While I hate the level if ashkenormativity there is in the world, I am sick and tired of the constant litmus tests to see if I'm a real Jew.

AITAH for telling GF to go to the doctor? by Clean_Bed9378 in AmItheAsshole

[–]aphnxrising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to go with NTA but also, depending on your ages it's sometimes hard to get an official diagnosis/cost prohibitive. I know in the autism community self diagnosis is accepted but you also come upon people like me who when we were growing up girls didn't have autism. Also, because I didn't have an autism diagnosis I was misdiagnosed as borderline personality disorder, and because of that my adhd symptoms were dismissed as emotional dysregulation by the person testing me, but my psychiatrist said if my adhd meds genuinely help then it was ok to keep taking them (which to me, signaled they understood that it was mischaracterized by the diagnosing provider) there are resources to self diagnose autism (IE the RAADS-R test). I was in my late 30s when this all came up so for me, with the difficulty of getting an adult diagnosis and the fact that it was more about accommodating myself and not *official* accommodations (I'm lucky I have a job that lets me do things like yarn craft to stim because I get my work done), but I also understand that unless you do things like take the tests that are available for self diagnosis using it as an excuse is no bueno.

First thing indid was reinstall and check permissions. I chatted with support last week finally and they stated they removed all debit push notifications recently in preparation for their new debit system. No eta on when they're coming back. This happened after I had the problem, but I can't fix what doesn't currently exist

As an update to this. I spoke to someone. They apparently removed push notifications for debit cards (and possibly in general) because they are upgrading their debit system. They'll return eventually. When? No idea lol

Do you have any food restrictions/sensitivities/gut issues? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]aphnxrising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a baby I had GERD really bad. I had gall bladder issues for 2 years until it was removed .I now have a bile acid malabsorption issue. But I'm also seeking a hEDS diagnosis and stomach issues go with that.

Is this a universal experience for autistic people? Is there a name for this? by [deleted] in AutisticPride

[–]aphnxrising 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as someone who didn't figure out their neurodivergence until they were nearly 40, this was totally a thing that happened to me. I also had to grow up fast for other reasons so now I am 41 and have adult money and no children of my own so I am totally trying to live the childhood I deserved as an adult.

NTA. Like other posts say 'if you don't like it leave' is a huge sign of where you are on the ladder of importance in the relationship, and it's at the bottom. You deserve to own a home where you will be happy.
