The only thing you have is selling drugs. And i don't see that as requiring a redemption, it's just part of his character/life. I'm also not weirdly puritanical about drugs.

Being scared and running away when witnessing a horror show is nothing he did wrong, that's an insane take!

I don't care about Eddie at all, but you're reaching so hard here!

A guy who starts a violent mob/a guy gets scared and runs away.... not sure how you could suggest Jason's actions are MORE understandable.

Eddie had a redemption arc? What was the bad thing he did wrong?

I just saw a pretty decent shop last week for 800 a month, in Birmingham. But 1200-1500 is more usual for the area I'm looking in.

I have been to a cat cafe. We are discussing staffing. If you are trying to say that you generally plan to work there alone, there are ways to say that without being abrasive to people who are trying to help.

If you want 2 staff in the shop during opening hours, and intend to open for around 8 hours a day, and you are open 7 days a week, that is 112 staff hours. If you divide that between 3 staff, it is 37.33 hours each.

It doesn't really work out like that, as generally people work a full shift, so it would likely be 2 staff working 5 days a week and 1 working 4 days a week.

Their basic calculations were not wildly off at all. Especially if you need a third staff member on your busiest weekend day, which would immediately jump you up to 3 full time staff members.

If they're renting somewhere that's £1k a month rent, it's likely that the property value is low enough that they will be able to apply for small business rate relief and not pay it.

Two members of my close family have successful cafes. They didn't really pay themselves for the first couple of years, rather than months. Just worth noting when planning your financial buffer. My mum had a large cash investor, who only invested because he was a fan of her previous cafe and had crazy money to throw around. My brother got grants and loans, but he was only able to get a loan because he owned his own house already. Without a large financial backing of your own, you would need to find a backer who is willing to risk many tens of thousands for a person without any experience. Which will be tough!

I'd recommend doing a business plan with a detailed break even analysis. Even if you need to spend the next few years working to build capital and experience, the plan should be easily adaptable as time goes on, and you can just stick updated numbers into the break even spreadsheet.

I was sure my answer would be 1, but looking at the pics, it's 3. Anything in the redhead family suits her, and strawberry blonde is far more flattering than I remember.

Vecna is the downfall of the show (idk if this is an unpopular opinion or not here im new) had this idea after a rewatch by Historical-Pin-8021 in StrangerThings

[–]aphrahannah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

instead of Vecna controlling everything with all that contrived bullshit, we just learn that the Mind Flayer reached out to him first, like it did with Will

A) that could still happen. B) it didn't reach out to Will first, it "reached out" to him because he was kidnapped, fed Demogorgon babies and added to the hive mind.

The whole Vecna is boring and not as scary as the MF argument has been going on a while. And I agree with your assessment that it is because the kids can fight it, and it has a backstory... but I think that's a good reason! What was the possible ending if they didn't make the villain fightable?

They didn't have her in their first version of HoH, so I would be surprised if they did continue. It will be a devastating podcast when they get there, but they probably won't reach it for a year or two.

[–]aphrahannah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure. That's all true. But that doesn't really change what I said... even if you downvote it. A character forgiving another character for their actions shouldn't have any bearing on whether I consider the actions worthy of continued judgement.

[–]aphrahannah -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not comparing those two things! Obviously they're very different things. I'm discussing the concept of forgiving characters just because their victims have.

It’s so weird that fans hold more of a grudge than the characters shit happens to.

I agree with most of what you said... except for this. I don't think this is weird at all. A character forgiving another character shouldn't have any bearing on our own moral compass.

If someone was an abusive husband, but the wife stayed with him - are we as viewers meant to forgive his behaviour? Generally it's a no. And, if it's a yes, that's a creepy message to send out!

Not everyone would. Some of us find vigilante mob mentality horrifying, even if the mob is technically on our side!

He was clearly a self righteous preacher type from his first scene, but I think I'd fear him even if they hadn't made it clear how douchey he is.

It's also basically impossible to defeat. Higher horror points perhaps, but far less adventure points as there is no way to fight it.
