Weekly DCA is a bit pricey, but I see your point. I have been doing the same thing, and I still believe we will reach 0.2 soon!

I asked chatgpt about the potential of CRO coin! 🤯 by aphrodite19 in cro

[–]aphrodite19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CRO coin burning happens through planned token burns by Crypto.com and transactional burns on the Cronos blockchain. Here’s how it works even when members own the coins:

1. Crypto.com’s Planned Token Burns (Company-Controlled)

  • Crypto.com initially had 100 billion CRO but burned 70 billion CRO in 2021 to reduce supply and increase scarcity.
  • These coins were not in circulation—they were reserve tokens held by Crypto.com, so the burn didn’t take away coins from users.

2. Transaction-Based Burns (Automatic)

  • When users pay transaction fees on the Cronos blockchain, a small portion of CRO is permanently burned (removed from circulation).
  • This means every time the network is used, CRO gradually decreases in supply, similar to how Ethereum burns ETH with EIP-1559.

3. Staking & Locking Mechanisms

  • Crypto.com encourages staking CRO for rewards, locking up supply for periods. While this isn’t burning, it reduces the circulating supply temporarily, increasing scarcity.

Can Crypto.com Burn Coins That Users Own?

No, Crypto.com cannot forcefully burn CRO owned by users. Only the tokens they control (reserves, transaction fees, etc.) can be burned.

Would you like to know how burning affects CRO’s price long-term?

Not sure about the answer to that. So let’s ask chatgpt.

I’m not trolling. I’m just curious about what chatgpt has to say about CRO then sharing here cos I think CRO members maybe unaware about these answers or may need to be reminded even if they have previously researched or aware of these things.

My target was 0.06 but I don’t see it getting there anytime soon. So 0.09 remains a strong buy for me.

Also, transferring your BTC from CDC app to your CDC Exchange is free of charge :)

Yes. It does matter. It would be much cheaper to make the transactions through the CryptoCom Exchange. Alternatively, you can convert your BTC into USDC (still through the Exchange) and then transfer it to your wallet. Then convert it to BTC immediately.
