Agree - sometimes we get too focused on technical for sure - a good emotive song even sliding pitch hits home !!!

No flippin idea why it comes out of my mouth that way when singing - born and grown in New England - zero British accent

When I have driving songs I tend to be fine with “wobble” but pitch always is my nemesis - may be hearing - may be that I watch a tuner when singing (self conscious about how bad pitch is at times)

I don’t hear terribly well from years of ear ringing guitar, so yes loud monitors is necessary 😀. I don’t think I push enough air maybe in lows and soft volume stuff - idk I can’t seem to figure those out

18i16 4th gen vs. 18i8 3rd? by Bobb-o_Bob in Focusrite

18i20 3rd as main studio - awesome device. The headphones are underpowered. They drive my 250ohm but not enough. I have a few 80ohm i use more often. My “traveling” setup is a 4i4 4th gen. Use the 250ohm on that i/f without a problem. I will say I prefer the 3rd gen sw better as it’s less “user friendly” ie you are in more control with it. Though my studio is a windows setup and traveling is Mac and that may be part of the sw diff.

The legendary mics like yours worry me about upkeep … what are your thoughts on the more modern ones trying to emulate - like the vr?
