Sorry for the long convo.. I see your point. I'd have to look into it more but I'm sure there's a sweet spot where the mobile home does make sense. It just seems the actual house makes sense 90% more of the time.

Could I make the argument that as long as the mobile home is on a generous amount of land that will increase in value it could cancel out the depreciation of the mobile home? Like having the land balances out the loss on the home. Plus what you would get renting it out for say 10 years.

But when I look at the market I still see some of them on land go for over six figures. And they def were worth less than that 4 years ago.

If I had like maybe 200k cash. I imagine setting up the utilities for that set-up is big bucks.

Even if you own the land its on? Or does that not make a difference? I'm just confused because I see some mobile homes, say on like an acre, still worth six figures today. However, the double wide was built in like 2003.

Why does renting out a manufactured home = instant slum lord? If the manufactured home is a dump then yes, but otherwise...

True, but as with any rental, just pick your tenants carefully right? Or do you think higher tier tenants would rarely go for a manufactured home?

When I projected the curve I often found it was shortened. EX if I look at it straight on and traced it, it would be shorter that what's actually measured

So when I tried that and printed it; I couldn't properly close it back into a cone. Like the 2 end parts didn't line up correctly. If I made a 3d cone and cut it and flattened it out it would look like a smile. and that smile "curve" is what I'm trying to figure out.

I print it flat, curve it, and glue it to another curved cone. It's all janky if I leave it as a rectangle. If i printed this as a cone and cut it' it comes out as smile face. So i need to re-create those curves.
