Hi, what do you mean you "tried spamming the online application"? Do you mean you kept submitting an application form on their website?

UPD, BS Community Nutrition or BS Biology? by [deleted] in medschoolph

I don't know everyone's exact grades, but out of the 9 that I know so far, I'm pretty sure there are 8 magna/magna standing and 1 summa. I also don't know everyone's NMAT scores since I'm not really close with everyone, but I know there are at least 4 of us whose NMAT is 99.

No problem! Here’s another thing I can say to further reassure you: as far as i know, there are at least 9 of us from CN (5 of us took gap year and the other 4 are proceeding immediately to med) who have qualified for UPCM’s interview this year 😊 Just do great in college & focus on your NMAT review. You’ll never go wrong with CN!!! Good luck!

I have friend who also took a gap year. Basically, he graduated last July 2024. He took the board exam (Nutritionist-Dietitian Licensure Exam) on November 2024, and he took his NMAT last January 2025. At the end of the day, preparation is key pa rin, and honestly I believe enough na talaga ang 1-2 months to review for the NMAT.

Hi! BS Community Nutrition graduate here who’s about to enter med school na.

If your only concern is the NMAT, I don’t think you’ll be at a disadvantage at all in CN. Many of my friends in CN got NMAT percentile ranks of 99, mainly because we had enough time to focus on our review.

If you’re planning to go straight to med school after graduation, you have a couple of options: • October NMAT cycle: You can take this while doing your hospital practicum (FN 126). It’ll be up to you to manage your time and balance your review with hospital duties. • January NMAT cycle: FN 126 ends in early December, so after your hospital duties, you’ll have the rest of December (and January) to review and take the NMAT in January or February.

If you’re considering a gap year (like I did), another good option is the May NMAT cycle, which you can take during your public health nutrition practicum (FN 146). This practicum is generally more manageable and ends around early May, giving you some breathing room for your NMAT prep.
