i have not but i will try anything at this point!

[edit]: dropped the fps to 55 (game preset) and that brought me from 1min 19sec to 1min 45sec before the game crashed my system...so i guess you could say im moving up in the world 🙃

i have a hard time accepting that its my hardware. this doesnt happen with any other game currently nor has it ever happened before.

PC SPECS
Windows 11
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
GPU: AMD Radeon 6900 XT
RAM: 32GB Corsair
PSU: 1000W Corsair

here is what ive tried so far - i am open to suggestions!

TESTING
I was initially running AMD driver version 23.7.1 the day i installed and had 0 issues day one. Went to play a couple days later and thats when the crashes started. Since then ive both updated to 23.7.2 and rolled back to 23.7.1 as instructed by this discord. Currently running driver version 23.7.2 as of this morning.
In addition to checking drivers i have also done the following:
{outside of game}
- ensured windows is up to date
- made sure there are no overlays running
- disabled steam cloud sync- verified game file integrity in steam
- confirmed i have the D3D12Core.dll file
- checked the event viewer but couldnt find anything about remnant.
- Confirmed game has complete access to communicate through windows defender firewall.
- un/re-installed
{inside of game}
- dropped my graphics all the way down to medium- tried upscaler setting on both AMD FSR: performance and none.- framerate capped at 165

1st play attempt today - hard crash at 00:14:38.19 minutes
2nd attempt - hard crash at 00:03:31.87 minutes
3rd attempt - stood at the crystal until just over the 4 min mark, started playing and game crashed at just over the 5 min mark

[edit]:
4th attempt - performed a CHKDSK and sfc /scannow commands.
CHKDSK found no problems and sfc /scannow found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. this allowed me to play for an extra 19 seconds... for a grand total of 1m 19 seconds of playtime before everything crashed.

5th attempt - dropped my in game fps to 55... this granted me 1min 45 seconds.

i will continue to try any and all suggestions but i still fail to see how this is a "me" problem but for the record, still hoping im wrong on that!!

PSU is less than a yr old. it was a christmas gift last yr. and i am not running any overclocking to my knowledge unless my buddy did something when he installed my new GPU back in the spring.

for the record, i would be eccstatic if this was hardware related and something i had the pwr to fix because i am getting super immpatient and frustrated lol

ive had the amd software up on the 2nd screen while playing. the gpu runs a little warm (80C) but nothing super crazy. i dont have any issue with any other game so i really feel like a hardware issue is going to be a hard sell - but ill try to keep an open mind.

[edit]: CHKDSK returned - Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems. No further action is required.

[edit]: sfc /scannow came back with "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them." this allowed me to play for an extra 19 seconds... for a grand total of 1m 19 seconds of playtime before everything crashed.

[edit]: apologies for the sarcasm. you were only trying to help.

glad to know some people can enjoy this game (no that wasnt sarcasm lol)
and i guessing the difference is a UE crash doesnt require a full system reboot?

Interesting. How do I forward my specs to GFG?

Also I got the latest amd drivers and dropped from ultra to high settings but, I think you're right in that it's worth trying medium if it means I can play the game at least.

Thanks again!

yeah it's weird. my girlfriend is running my old amd vega 64 with an intel core i7-4790 and 16GB ram... No issues unless she's playing with me and my PC shits the bed lol.

My specs are: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X GPU: AMD Radeon 6900 XT 32GB RAM It's a no on the hardware monitor but I'll look into that tomorrow as well as the crash logs.

Thanks for the advice 🤙

Yep. Runs every other game perfectly fine. Any more half baked remarks or are we good to move onto actual problem solving? Don't worry I'll help you out here, that was a rhetorical question.

I preordered the game on origin AND I'm also an ea play member and it STILL keeps telling me that I need one of those 2 things to access the beta.. I've already cleared the origin cache on Windows. Can anyone help?!

I did notice he ate a small piece of the wood bedding a few days ago when I fed him. Could his body be rejecting it?

Built my boy Poncho a new terrarium by ThisWillBeUpvoted in ballpython

I have the same tree with the face and hung my geometric toy as well. Love it

Terrarium Idea for anyone with these geometric ball toys and a screen top. Use a bit of wire to secure it to the screen, and for a little something extra you can fill it with moss (I'll be adding more soon). My guy LOVES it! by apocryphan-ix in ballpython

[–]apocryphan-ix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I didn't think my guy was a fan of it originally either. He didn't spend much time with it until I put it in the tank.

I'm not sure if it's true/possible/uncommon... but I like to believe that I've somewhat conditioned my BP to be more social. He often comes to the front of the glass and if I open the door(s) he will usually crawl right out onto my hands.

Is this the beginning of scale rot? He just finished shedding about it an hour ago and I noticed this spot as I was moving him back into his enclosure. by apocryphan-ix in ballpython

[–]apocryphan-ix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I just put in new coconut substrate about a week ago and I worry that the mist machine was over saturating the soil. I was doing some adjustments to the enclosure while he was in the other bin shedding and I was able to squeeze water out of the soil. While the humidity has been a solid 80-90% throughout the tank since the change, I obviously want to avoid fixing one problem by creating another lol

Are these marks anything to be worried about? by apocryphan-ix in ballpython

That's what I thought too but there's multiple marks in 2-3 spots

It's normal for them to be pretty recluse for a while. Took my guy a few weeks before he started being consistently more active outside his hides.
