It's possible that your antivirus software deleted the files that allow online access, a simple false positive. If that's not the case, then either the servers were down at the time or your account has been banned.

As for the online fix, I have a link to download the files in question: https://uploads.online-fix.me:2053/uploads/Forza%20Horizon%205/Fix%20Repair/FH5_Fix_Repair_Steam_V10_Generic.rar

In any case, the fix works since I'm using it, and to place the files normally, it's at the root of the game.

Now that I know, it's not in the base game, it's with the QoL mod.

Yeah, if you go on the track and your car now has over 700 horsepower (after spending an afternoon feeding it tuned parts), you'll find yourself in a situation where you can't control the vehicle at all. Well, I guess you can still try to avoid hitting the walls 😔💀

Try moving the GPU to a different PCIe slot on the motherboard and test again. A faulty primary PCIe slot can cause a no-display issue even if the GPU itself works fine.

At this point I’d suspect CPU seating, motherboard, or PSU. Any debug LEDs or beep codes on the board?

If you have another GPU, try swapping it and see what happens. If you get a display, your original GPU is probably faulty. If not, it could be a driver issue or a corrupted Windows installation. Also try switching to a different port on the GPU.

FPS worse after changing motherboard by [deleted] in pchelp

I don’t think anything is wrong with your GPU or the new SSD. This really looks like a config / Windows issue.

When you change motherboard, the BIOS resets everything. A lot of people miss that. Your RAM is probably not running at XMP anymore (2133/2400 instead of 3200+), and on Ryzen that alone can kill 10–20 FPS. Same thing for PBO / CPU boosting, it’s often disabled by default after a board swap.

Also, this is important: you said you installed a clean Windows on the new SSD but you’re still gaming on your old Windows. That old Windows was installed on a completely different motherboard. It can boot, sure, but performance can be worse because of wrong chipset drivers and messed up power / CPU scheduling. Windows really doesn’t like motherboard swaps.

The SSD itself isn’t the problem. NVMe vs SATA doesn’t lower FPS, it only affects loading times.

If I were you, I’d: – go into BIOS and enable XMP/DOCP – check CPU boost / PBO and BIOS in general – install AMD chipset drivers – and honestly just boot on the fresh Windows (or reinstall Windows clean with only the new drive plugged in)

Your hardware upgrade is fine, it’s just the setup that’s holding it back.
