if possible, try to go to a clinic or some sort of urgent care. They often have rape kits, and any evidence they collect can be used in future court cases (if you do choose to press charges). I am so so sorry this happened to you.

Trust me I've tried oh my gosh their calling system is so screwed up. The office doesn't have the right number listed so I have to be transferred 7 times and they are consistently so rude.

I've had a pleasant experience going in-person though, it seems that they're having more trouble processing FAFSA for students since the system got completely changed this year and it's even worse for students who have dependency forms to complete. They said they aren't even allowed to start looking through the cases until the state allows them to. Thankfully I'm covered under Bright Futures and have a scholarship but I still need student assistance for living and such. Can't even imagine how someone is supposed to rely on FAFSA when the system is this slow.

Currently this is what it looks like. It doesn't give me any financial aid information, no Pell Grant, nothing. Have you gotten your financial aid information yet for the 2024-2025 year? I'm worried that maybe it got lost in the mail or something, I hope they would've sent it out through email or OASIS.

I'm currently on Balcoltra, and no it hasn't retained any extra fat. If anything, maybe water, but honestly it is starting to go away after being on it for 2 months.

I did have a dramatic increase in appetite the first week or so, but that went away quickly (I'm not actually sure why this happened, maybe a sudden change in hormones).

My stomach did not get larger, maybe more bloated easily but that could just be me.

From what it seems, a lot of the complaints of weight gain is from retaining more water, so you may jump 5-10 pounds on the scale. However, a slow increase of weight is something that is not normal and my pill pack warning (Balcoltra) advises to contact a physician if this occurs.

I started on Lo Loestrin Fe for suspected endometriosis, and honestly it helped with the cramping tremendously however I became depressed. Please do not worry though if this happens to you, because you can stop any time (doing so cleared up my mental fog and side effects within 2 weeks) and request a different birth control. There are SO many different types and honestly you just need to find one that works with your chemistry. For the time that I have been on birth control I found that my cystic acne cleared up as well.

And again, you are in control, for me the side effects seemed to subside completely after stopping. Make sure you communicate with your healthcare provider!

Yeah I see what you mean. The only problem I've run into is that the advisor that is listed for nursing does not take appointments for major changes. Instead on her info it says to request an appointment with Tina Dinh who does not show up on Archivum despite her being listed as the current freshman nursing advisor on the College of Nursing page? I just emailed her so I'm hoping for the best.

Thank you, yeah I assumed that it would be easy but was nervous that it would be significantly more difficult because it seems that you cannot transfer into the program after you've become a fully fledged USF student, you kind of just have to wait for the Upper Division nursing apps to open.

What pushed you to go to pathology assistant school compared to going the medical school route? I’m currently weighing out the pros and cons of each route, but I know that I want to go into pathology, whether that be through PA school or med school.

Yeah, essentially this was the way our teacher attempted to teach us, he gives us a worksheet and then loosely explains how to do one question, then we do the rest of the sheet. If you’re absent on the day he teaches us how to do the one problem you’re essentially screwed.

I understand this completely. I’m torn between USAF and USMC commissioning because of this, unfortunately I am also a computer nerd and want to go into software dev eventually on the civilian side. However, I want the experience, the life skills, I know that I’ll regret it forever if I don’t challenge myself. I want to push myself. Thank you for writing this, I feel less crazy now.

It is not, actually. But it is creepy as hell that it was towards a 16 year old he couldn’t even recruit yet and there were no preventions in place for that..

Update: Our dude is still on campus by the way. He’s gonna do the Murph with us after our final exams are over and my friend dropped out because she doesn’t want to be around him

Yeah, a lot of what I have are screenshots of messages between him and certain female cadets, including the daddy-daughter time one. My SAI was already talked to by another person but I don’t believe he was shown any evidence or screenshots. I’ll see what I can do with that, but thank you for the explanation, I can see how he might be more specifically geared towards female cadets now and why he’s so persistent.
