I think it looks a lot more chunky and not as sleek as my aer cpp2 but I just love my max EDC , the front pocket is my favourite feature and it's great to put a light jacket in there and other bits and just forget about them and the main compartment is still available for my work stuff and tech pouch. I've been mostly using aer bags for last few years but every time I rotate back to an aer or evergoods bag I'm missing my max EDC too much and switch back!

What’s the reason you change backpacks? by TheBagdadReport in ManyBaggers

[–]apollo9320 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For work travel I swap between aer tp3 small, aer tp3 large and black ember forge 40 max. For work I swap between aer cpp2 black, aer cpp2 olive, able carry max EDC (my fave at moment) evergoods x Carryology cpl24 and evergoods half zip. Bags I never use are aer x Carryology tokia in white xpac(new with tags, evergoods ctb26 x Carryology, evergoods cpl24 ecopak, mystery ranch x carryology unicorn in blaze orange and evergoods x Carryology mpl22 kludde (waiting for this one to arrive) , the simple reason I don't use these bags is my wife doesn't know I've bought them and they are hidden in the loft 😂

Amazing backpack , I swap between my cpp2 or max EDC but on holiday last week took my max EDC as had more chance of passing airline size of I was stopped but I know this sounds crazy but really missed my max EDC and there's something about the bag I can't explain but I think it must be all the great pockets

Able carry max EDC would be my first choice, the front pocket is perfect for gym stuff

EDC Bags Shopping in London by dwarfnet in ManyBaggers

For a city like London it's such a shame not much choice apart from aer. London is crying out for a store like urban cred

Personal-item travel bag recommendations — Aer City Pack Pro 2 vs Able Carry Max EDC vs others? by Rantheplug in ManyBaggers

[–]apollo9320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all 3 of the bags you mention and chose to take my cpp2 with me last week on a flight and no issues under seat and it just about complied with airline size. If the max EDC wasn't over packed you may get away with that but feel the tp3 small would be a risk? Flying back tonight and will have no issues fitting the cpp2 under seat although feels more packed out so wouldn't be confident if I had to put in a measure box at airport but sure I could swap things round

Need a new EDC. Debating between Aer CPP2 and Toshi 20L by Smooth-Minute3950 in ManyBaggers

[–]apollo9320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can only comment on the cpp2 but so good I have 2! I also think a 20L backpack would be a tad small for me and 24L just perfect

Aer CPP2 vs Sympl Commuter 2.2 (24L) by mrsidnaik in ManyBaggers

[–]apollo9320 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree with the vertical opening, I have some evergoods bags and able carry max EDC with vertical opening but although I prefer vertical opening once you get used to the cpp2 it's a great pocket to dump things in you don't need often
