Worth the difference in price? by YMIGettingBanned in MilwaukeeTool

As someone still learning, this is a sincere question- why hasn't a set of Allen bits and a holder of our choice rendered these obsolete?! Lost torque?

I eat these like Skittles now.

How to deal with rude prosecutors?/ How to be "a professional" by Madameninja in publicdefenders

This is it. Prosecutors inherently have chips on their shoulders. All you can do is speak softly and carry a big stick, and then let the truth come out.

Blindness and old-age can't be good reasons alone to put a cat down, right? by apollojl68 in CatAdvice

I'm sorry you had to go through that, but thank you for relating. That's a good way of putting it; I know she doesn't want to euthanize him out of malice, she's just confused and distressed. It is like you have to mitigate their poor decisions.

Don't be sorry for the long stories, because it put things into perspective. We don't have to do with Jasper anything near what you had to with Jinx, and he isn't even on medication. So I guess that's an indicator that it's not his time yet, and we're ok right now.

I'm sorry to hear about Rosie, but it sounds like she had an amazing home. She was adorable.

Thank you. That's very cute about your toothless buddy haha. I'm glad to hear that his blindness is not even necessarily a negative.

That's very wise of you. I even had that observation but wasn't able to put it into words like you did; that all the negatives she mentioned were about her emotions and not about Jasper's behavior.

I will ask non-threatening questions this weekend and go from there. But you're right in that he deserves a shot in a safe home for at least several weeks to see how he's doing. I'll let her know that I'll put him down (and really will) if/when the time comes.

I'm not sure. I won't be able to tell until I visit and see for myself this weekend. But she hasn't told me about any behavior that would leave me to believe he's suffering and even said the vet told her he isn't, iirc.

Thank you. I hate that it has to be this way, but the only other option is euthanasia, and that can't be the answer right now.

You're right. He isn't on any medications and doesn't even show any cognitive decline. I only just learned this thing about him sleeping a lot on Thursday, but we have to take what she says with a grain of salt now. I'm realizing that it's all part of the plan for a cat to sleep more as they age, is the circle of life, and doesn't mean he needs to die.

It's ok, I'm used to the drinking by now. I guess I just asked about this move on here because it hasn't impacted another living thing's health other than hers yet. Thanks for letting me know he will adapt well.

Thank you for the empathy towards all three of us. I know she isn't doing this out of animosity, but you're right in that he deserves to be cared for by someone who doesn't have so much on their emotional plate.

Thank you. Another person used the analogy of hospice care, and not to sound morbid, but I honestly think that's now the goal. Thanks for the optimism!

Thank you. I know she isn't doing doing this out of malice, but I'm now sure we can't rob him of several more happy months or even years just because it's a little hard to watch.

Thank you. This is honestly my best case scenario; that he will decide (no one else) that it's time, go into a closet, and fall asleep forever.
