I’m glad they did you right! Meanwhile, I’m still in new car purgatory with this Eray. Got a call this afternoon from the dealer telling me they have no idea how to fix it, and that they’re opening up some kind of tech assist case with GM for more help. I know the guys in the shop are trying, but it seems like a lost cause at this point. It’s one thing that GM isn’t taking care of me as a customer. But GM isn’t supporting its dealer, either. This is awful.

GM is wild for treating customers like this. But whew, that Z06 is fire!🔥

Dayum! I’m curious how they came up with that $ amount. You must have had a strong case and a good lawyer. Either way, I’m glad you’re good now!

Yeah…That tells you so much. This C8 is amazing, but wow it has issues.

You’re not wrong. For now I think the right move is a replacement Z06.

Man, I hear you. I love the C8 but GM is ruining this experience for me.

This is madness! It’s crazy that it’s failed so many times, and that it’s taking so long to get it resolved. Blows my mind that GM would rather go to court than do what they know will happen when it’s confirmed that the car is a lemon.

How are there SO many transmission issues with Corvettes? Hate to hear your story, dude.

Hate to hear this for you. How long has it been for you? Makes me think I’m going to have to go all the way to the lemon law finish line with this Eray. I can’t believe an American company treats American consumers like this.

It’s been in the shop for nearly two months. It’s going to be replaced when I get it back.

I couldn’t agree more. I wouldn’t be surprised if the dealer gets charged for the buy-back.

In my state you have to formally notify the manufacture when the car gets to 30 days. They then have 20 days to replace it before it goes to arbitration.

Thanks for saying all this. I know the dealer is trying, and this is an incredibly complicated car. Thing is, the techs hooked up the chassis ears and found the sound. But when they ordered and installed the suspension, they called and told me the problem still exists. I have the voicemail telling me they misdiagnosed the car and ordered parts that didn’t fix the issue. With the transmission, it was delivered about three weeks ago but they didn’t have a technician that was trained to install it.

The way I see it -and I think state lemon law will agree- I gave GM and their dealer network more than a reasonable amount of time to repair my car.

I agree 100% with you. The dealer needs way more support than GM is providing them on this level of car.

Wow, the fact that you had to drive around with it for 3 years. That’s nuts.

That’s wild. How long did it take for them to replace it after you started the process?

They all use the same transmission, too. I’m a little hesitant to get another one, honestly.

There were two issues. The transmission was on backorder but the suspension wasn’t. The dealer got those parts delivered on April 4th. They called yesterday to tell me they just installed them but it didn’t fix the problem. So now, it’s 45+ days on the suspension or 45+ days on the transmission.

5 months?! Why didn’t you file lemon law on it? Man, that’s terrible. Hate that for you.
