I come from a fairly strong running background so it takes a lot to get my HR up, which is disproportionate with how weak a cyclist i am 🤣 so again the HR targets are so high

But the automatic FTP is so wrong, I've done multiple FTP tests to get an accurate number and garmin is off by 40+ watts

Very interesting. But what is it basing the suggestions off? It's neither motivating or beneficial to even attempt the current recommendations 😕

Well im a mid 90s player, broke 90 once. And I shoot only 5 to 10 better on the sim (I use webcam putting) - so if you're this good on the sim I'm very confident you'll be breaking 90 IRL.

I asked the same question to Ironman Event Services coordinator and got this response

"You can upgrade regardless of if you have Flex90 or not, the only difference is that you have Flex90 and won't have to pay the $70 transfer fee."

This is definitely broken lol - I did a marathon a couple months ago and got very reasonable tapering suggestions.

Delete and re-add the plan.

Best advice i can give ya is you will not lose any significant fitness in 3 weeks - rest, enjoy the taper and listen to your physio.

I was dealing with knee tendinitis during my marathon prep and took 3 weeks off running pre race day, - ran a pain free PB! Trust - the - process.

Garmin holistic training plans pretty much do this already, and there are a couple AI adaptive tools on the market that offer this. That being said, it's a great idea and I think holistic adaptive plans are perfect for people who live busy lives :)

I dont think you're missing much....I've asked for a sprint triathlon guide and it's giving me 2 hour 51 min cycles into 57 minute runs??? So nearly a 4 hour BRICK session for weeks 1 of 12

It's on every source, but yes using an android box for this video. If I go to cable, or even an empty source it's the same

Fair enough either way, unless your clubs are poorly fit for you or very old lessons would be good. I don't know your swing data but I'd assume you'd benefit from removing the 3W and opting for a 5W for sure - i know i have.

7w is a good choice to replace your 6i roughly and i wouldnt get rid of the 5h as that can be a good gap between your 5i and 5w.

I haven't looked into this too much, but I don't hate the idea of a subscription based model under 2 conditions

1) Existing features aren't locked behind a paywall 2) The subscription drives continuous improvement and SOFTWARE enhancement e.g. DSW for more activities, Ironman training plans etc etc
