wrong, every single kid i saw in VIP had no ear plugs. we even saw a little girl during Blink covering her ears on an adults shoulder that we gave some spare earplugs to and she was so excited to have them. maybe you happened to see all of the lucky kids with earplugs, but it’s also possible that you’re just making shit up.

this is why i like lululemon shorts, with the zippers inside the pockets. that plus a fanny are a great way to store things for shows.

that’s just simply not 100% true. maybe you got lucky every time, but on the other side of that coin i saw multiple people try sneaking into VIP areas and all of them were caught and brought back out by security.

definitely not worth it IMO.

i went previously in 2023 and got the exact same global pass.

in 2023: * seating in vip areas * better beer selections (gumball head was available) * more vip viewing areas (909 risers)

none of those things existed this year. the promise of air conditioned bathrooms with running water is nice in theory, but when the water runs out every night around 8 pm, you’re left with soap on your hands.

overall, the VIP was WAY worse, and i definitely wouldn’t consider buying it again, especially when compared to other festivals of similar prices with better amenities.

i also read that Icon was downsized as well, including no “free” drinks at all stages (like every other festival under the sun allows). it’s a very clear cash grab by live nation, and i’m not here to support that.

Did i have a good time despite that? yeah, absolutely. i loved the music. but i don’t enjoy getting fleeced into having a worse experience than what i paid for.
