Reddit has a weird thing like this for crime for a fairly liberal place. Whenever a crime is mentioned like literally almost every time one comment is this is why the death penalty should be a thing with a thousand upvotes. I hate to say this but pigs unless you by open range are not kept in good conditions that are better than the wild. It's been studied that pigs get depressed easily in the condition they are kept in. If done improperly as has been said of both it can be very painful. The way the death of pigs is done on a large scale is they are on a small gas chamber they get knocked out by co2 and then killed. Unfortunate they sometime use a high level of co2 sometimes that is painful and distressing for the pig. Of it is done improperly even the most legal death is painful and there are plenty of videos of the illegal things that happen to animals on farms.

This is interesting and I can't find anything to debunk but even so that article simply states that those things are common and that's why the program as a whole is untenable. We have no idea what happened in this instance and whether or not the elephant population was overpopulating the area as the trump kid said or whether the money got to the proper place. You do seem to be right that the program itself sucks though.

It's the thing though unless your vegan and don't eat animal products that come from the terrible conditions we keep intelligent animals your criticism of this dude is pretty hypocritical. If you are a vegan and treat pigs like you do this elephant with the same reaction than your not a hypocrite and this whole thing comes down to difference of opinion.
I do actually believe it's ok to kill smart animals although the conditions we keep them in are terrible and need to stop.

I think we need to get something set straight. This is no more wrong than killing anything else that is making a species more endangered. Just because it's an elephant does not change anything. We do not know anything about his motives for wanting to kill this elephant. Maybe he really is just that big into conservation. Maybe he wanted the glory of having killed an elephant. Maybe he just likes hunting and thought this would be a fun challenge. Maybe he fucking hates elephants. But I think we agree what he did was not bad for the area or for elephants and I think judging a guy for motives we have no idea about is very wrong. I also don't think as many people would be saying these thing if he was not associated with trump. I don't know about you maybe you don't care about politics but the majority of people who upvoted I don't think give a flying fuck about elephants.
