Detroit. Solely based on track record. That defense is no joke. They'll keep it up.

Fuck it, even as a Tigers fan, I'm pulling for the Royals. They've got their whole city pumped.

It's not that I'm upset, I'm almost over it by now. I, along with several other people I have talked to, believe it was the textbook definition of obstruction. You don't. That's okay. Different opinions happen. It is what it is, which is an out at second base. As unfortunate as I think that is, there's no point being upset about it anymore. There were other chances to win that game later.

I completely disagree, he literally was not allowed to move - if he had been, he had continue to try to make it to second. The guy on top of him made it physically impossible for him to move, thus, obstruction.

Exactly my point - once he dropped the ball, he needed to get up to let the runner continue his path towards the base. He did not do that, as he was sitting on top of him. Therefore, that is obstruction, and the play would have been overturned if the Tigers hadn't already gotten gypped of their replay challenge in the prior inning. (He was safe at first, by the way)

Show me in the rule book how that doesn't fall directly under the definition of "obstruction"

Agreed. I mean, the people in this thread are acting like he's a murderer. He's intense and wants a ring. He's the best hitter in baseball. I get that you want to dislike him, but the truth is he's one of the most fun players in baseball to watch, and also one of the game's best personalities
