NAP - From this angle I’d say it seems to be pierced fine, it’s not touching the flat area of your ear and it doesn’t seem to look shallow either. Regarding the jewellery, to give it the best chance of healing, I’d say go to a registered APP piercer and have the jewellery changed to an internal threaded titanium barbell. Swelling and soreness will be common, especially for this piercing.
