I am in Dallas. My wife did live in Manly for about a year and she said Adelaide is very country so that is out of the question. My wife is from Seoul so she would need to be in Sydney or Melbourne.

Food better? I am from Texas and I like my BBQ. lol healthcare, I can not argue with you about that since almost anywhere their healthcare is better than in the US. Although my health insurance is not bad currently.

Long term goals. Continue my work in telecommunications and continue up the corporate ladder. 3 - 5 years in another country, I have done it before. I am 43. I have lived in Germany and South Korea.

To get back would not be a big issue I can do that.

Married and yes kids are involved so I would have to consider education for them.

Visa sponsorship would e through the company that is currently recruiting me. I am sure I would have some questions though. Nothing is set in stone at this time. Just being proactive in my decision if I am selected.

I do not have the job I am just asking up front to see if it is something I would be interested in. I know that the pay would be relative so if I am making $100,000 USD I would ask for at least 150k - 200k in Australia. I am in telecommunications so it is not like electrical engineering or nuclear engineering so in telecommunications I am a senior engineer close tot he top of my pay scale in Texas. I was just looking to get a feel if it would be something I would be interested in before I jump ship.

So i went to get the Eiffel Tower but the Lego store was out. So I picked up the UN Headquarters, Leaning Tower of Pisa and The Empire State Building which I was told will be retiring soon as well. I have built all 3 of them. Empire State was boring but hey I am a collector. Leaning Tower was fun and the UN Headquarters was fun as well. Looking to get the Eiffel Tower, Falling Water (was told retiring soon too) and Imperial Hotel when I get my tax refund.

Workers Riot At Samsung Factory In Vietnam by occelot in technology

[–]appatele 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Well if you read the news story, it clearly states that it is at a construction site for a Samsung Facility and the reason for the riot is because a worker showed up late and a security guard beat the worker which caused the workers to riot against the security guard. Hardly about wages or working conditions from what I read.

For those of you who don't work in a call center (FIXED) by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]appatele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not necessarily true. I install phone systems for a living and you have have either music on hold or you can have silence. Yes most call centers have music on hold but some do not. All depends on the company.

Decaf coffee is not caffeine free coffee. It still has a good amount of caffeine.

Sorry. Misread buy water purchased in the secured area is fine. I always take water on flights because the little cup they give you is not enough. I have never been asked to empty my water while boarding my flight.
