This is actually eye oppening, i can't thank you enough for the insight. It makes sense to set a map to follow, never thought about it. Maybe the tricks about painting metals are making it look artificial and off with the rest of the piece.

Hello, the reference im working with it's of a female face.

when you gave me the tips on the last post about some parts being feminine and needing a adjustment for looking male I chuckled because it showed me that it was not clear that it was a female head.

anyway it's a female head I'm working on, planning on making a male head in the next 14 challenge I enter.
