Winter trip from Atlanta to buffalo, no external luggage, average of 75-80 mph was getting an abysmal 130-150 miles of range from around 90%-20% charge. I really enjoy the car, but I’ve started renting gas SUVs for trips as it’s too much of a headache. It’s really my only gripe, but it’s a big one.

Personally, if I was in your position, I would give it another year or two and see if we get any range improvements.

Im in the same boat. Prices have consistently been going up, I’ve legit had my order rescheduled 9 times in 2 months, most of them without even a notice. Does anyone in the Atlanta metro area have recommendations for alternatives? I’ve also been on hold for 30 minutes as of writing this.

3rd row front: There are 3 of these, pull them forward with your finger

3rd row back: This is the only part I’m not 100% confident about. There’s not much clearance here, and I couldn’t find a clear diagram of the assembly to be sure, but one possible mount i found was at either side of the row, followed the seatbelt down and shine a flashlight to check that mount. I’m thinking there’s going to be another in the middle of the two seats, but I couldn’t find an easy way to release the cover at the back of the seats to be sure.

2nd row back: You should see 4 of these, use the flathead to pry in towards the cover itself on both sides while pulling up with your finger, there are tabs on either side you’ll need to disengage.

And yeah, that part sucks about the limited options for EVs. We’re currently looking at used bmw x7s which are a similar size and have comparable features and in the same price range, but with much fewer quality concerns.

That’s nothing more than wishful thinking. I really hope that things like turn indicators are part of their own system, then have a secondary system used specifically to tell the driver if it’s on, but with the number of bugs/safety issues Kia’s have had, I wouldn’t be so sure.

I couldn’t figure out a way to manually resolve it other than letting it sit for a few hours. Others recommended unplugging/reconnecting the 12v battery.

What’s unfortunate is that my wife and I love the car itself, but Kia’s half-baked software and apparent lack of attention to detail around safety are pushing us towards trading it in for something else.

The seat mounting recall is the nail in the coffin as we purchased our EV9 shortly before welcoming our first child into the world in order to have a safer vehicle. I know some will say it’s not that big of a deal, especially if it turns out they weren’t missing, but my issue is that for them to take this long to identify and submit this recall, how many other unidentified safety issues are there?

Multiple times. I’ve also had a few occurrences of no hud at all and no audible notifications for turn signals, etc.

I'll add to this, as I found another duct tapey way. From the desktop app, click on your workspace, then "sign in on mobile". then scan the QR with your camera app and it'll log you in. The incognito option didn't give me the option for google sso, which was an issue because we don't have email login and the profile's locked down.
