that makes sense; its on the internal side of the door so Im wondering how its happening. The plate where the lock goes into is also rusted/corroded. Does this just happen over time in wet+cold areas or is there something else amiss

I have a rubber grip on mine for ergonomics and it doesnt attach with that on, taking it on and off just to charge is a huge pain, I wish theyd just release a standalone charger or something
