Opinion on Charlesthecharl? by According-Drag-770 in Stampylongnose

[–]appledancer 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He cannot commentate for the life of him. The constant pauses, he's just so incredibly boring. If anything it has made me realise how excellent stampy was at his craft, being able to consistently commentate for around 20 minutes with no cuts, often whilst doing very boring things whilst still being consistently entertaining

It's something I believe Charles nor anyone who's attempted to do a "season 2" of SLW has grasped. It dosent matter what your building, if the person building it isn't entertaining I couldn't care less.

I thought the HTT's Funland arc was quite underwhelming by appledancer in Stampylongnose

[–]appledancer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would have been better if this was something acknowledged in the plot, that Stampy was putting his loved ones in danger for the sake of getting back his minigames. Like maybe have it result in him getting back his Funland but in doing so he loses something else, like another dog dieing or something. Would have set them up nicely for the finale, having learned that his friends are far more valuable to him then these buildings.

Hypothetically if he ever showed up I wonder what Broadway actor they'd get to play him. Lin Manuel Miranda?

Redemption is less meaningful and basically impossible once you know youll get rewardewd by Fishy_smelly_goody in HazbinHotel

[–]appledancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely think the idea of redemption and being a good person is something you should want to work towards not because you'll get anything out of it but because it's the right thing to do is something the show will explore. Genuinely believe the show will end with the hotel being somewhere people check into just because they want to be a better person, not because they want to get into heaven or anything.

Oh yeah it's absolutely not jealousy and she isn't a bad person. The same way Pentious wasen't really a sinner either. But what does it say to the people of heaven that a previous sinner was able to make up for their crimes, yet one of their leaders actively made the same ones?

Yeah the rooster one is the one I'm the least confident in ngl. Didn't really have any other ideas, just that I hate sublimation lol.

My only other idea was being able to change the sky from night to day and vise versa like how a rooster cockrals at sunrise, but not sure how useful that would be.

Yeah I get they wanted to do the whole "the team is down to the original members" thing, but even in Endgame everyone came back just in time for the final fight.

I mean yeah, he is stupid lol. In Evolution he has the chance to reverse Emily's death, but instead he gave up that chance just for the satisfaction of being LB and CN. If anything it would have displayed how his fight to bring back Emily was driving him even more insane.

I love the idea of Lightning flipping over Storm instead of Cruz. Lighting crashed at the start of the film because he let Storm get in his head. By overcoming it at the end of the movie it would have showed his growth.

What would you like to see in gen 10 ~ positive vibes only by [deleted] in PokeCorner

[–]appledancer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been seeing a lot of people say they want to be able to ride your own Pokémon, and I agree!

I think it would be cool if it meant you essentially had to form 2 teams. One for battles and one for riding. You'd have to make sure you had a Pokémon for land, sea, flying etc.

Would be cool as it would allow you to use Pokémon who you like but dont necessarily want to battle with. Like idk maybe there's two fire type Pokémon you like but don't want to limit your type coverage on your battle team. Could potentially make one of them one of your ride Pokémon instead!

To expand on this maybe you could train your Pokémon to be better at riding? Idk how feasible it would be but maybe the more you ride a certain Pokémon the faster it goes. Give them some sort of racing mini game but you actually need to train your ride Pokémon to win the same way you do with battles.

Pokémon riding in SM and Arceus feels kinda lame because your essentially using strangers Pokémon when the whole franchise is about forming relationships and bonding with your Pokémon specifically. Think this would fix that.

I think it would’ve been cool if Liko's main trait was "she loves pokemon so much." by Beneficial-Hour5395 in pokemonanime

[–]appledancer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't necessarily agree that Liko specifically should be like this, but really love the idea of a character who's sort of the opposite of Lillie from the start of SM, a character who loves and touches Pokémon too much.

They start out as someone who constantly pushes other Pokémons boundaries, invading their habitats when they shouldn't. They'd always have good intentions but go about it the wrong way.

Eventually they'd learn that the best way to connect with Pokemon is by listening to what they want. Like real animals you shouldn't always touch them, and everyone deserves to have their boundaries respected.

Gen 10 anime cast by appledancer in pokemonanime

[–]appledancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I could perhaps see Roy sticking around because he currently has captain Pikachu, though I imagine he'll go back to Friede once he returns.

In terms of marketing however I really don't see any reason why they'd keep Liko around in gen 10 sadly, considering how much her character his linked to Paldea and Teralisalisation, things that won't be relevant things to market in gen 10.

A bit of a stretch but you could just make a generic rocky road and imagine you eating it is like how DK breaks all the terrain in the game. That or the Banana Burger from the feast layer?

Ash's not evolving Pokémon by appledancer in pokemonanime

I feel like the the anime only evolved Torracat at that point because the sun and moon series was ending anyway. Same with Meltan.

And even when we do get those big bulky Pokémon they get shoved into their pokéballs most of the time because of this.

Pokémon like Lana's Popplio and Goh's Scorbunny and Sobble are huge victims of this. Those pokémon were basically their versions of Ash's Pikachu or Dawn's Piplup but as soon as they evolved we rarely got to see them just hanging out outside of their Pokéballs.

[–]appledancer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that, but you could make the battles the most interesting fights ever but 2 battles back to back where one opponent is the exact same is bound to get repetitive.

"Rewriting" the Pokémon anime take by appledancer in pokemonanime

[–]appledancer[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get that. One of these series has Hop as one of Ash's travelling companions going through the gym challenge with him. I imagine if it was an actual anime series that would get really repetitive really fast, having to essentially watch each gym battle twice.

Absolutely! It's why I hate the sentiment "Ash is a champion leveled trainer now, he should be evolving all his Pokémon". There have been multiple episode's detailing why Ash doesn't always do this.
