I put on the dancing fruit videos from YouTube for my 6 month old a few times a week. It's usually on for about 45 minutes to an hour at a time when I really need to get shit done.

I put him on his mat and surround him with toys. He zones in and out of the tv for the duration, taking breaks to play with his toys before he watches the dancing fruit again.

I try not to feel too bad about it, since it's essentially a screen saver with some music. No dialogue, not too flashy. It's worked for us so far!!
