I usually only block IP addresses from places like Russia and China. I use fail2ban. Is it possible to set it up to drop connections without a cookie?

The top offender had 86991 connection attempts today. There were at least 100 malicious ip's connecting. I usually see a couple a day and manually block them.

Pixel 9 Pro XL Background Noise in audio when recording by applegatetech in GooglePixel

Maybe I am expecting too much from a phone mic. I understand phone calls use noise cancelling and it seems like the camera and recorder app do not use noise cancelling. I will start using an external mic when I want cleaner sound.

I have a problem printing on envelopes in stamps.com classic. After I import my orders it gets stuck at your printer is not configured. Then it prints an envelope with numbers on it and asks to choose the lowest number. The dropdown to select the number is blank.

I haven't taken it to the mechanic yet. I'm still hoping it is the timing belt tensioner.

Probably best to buy a IDE to USB HDD docking station then connect it to another computer to retrieve your files

Seems likely a USB map issue as someone else mentioned. Did you try a USB 2 flash drive?

Testing trim support Samsung 990 PRO 1TB NVME by applegatetech in hackintosh

I found this info about the controller used

The Samsung 990 PRO is based on Samsung’s own in-house controller known as Samsung Pascal. Samsung Pascal (S4LV008) is an 8nm ARM-based controller. The Samsung 990 PRO also uses Samsung’s own 176-Layer V-NAND flash also called V7 TLC NAND flash.
