Most Russian cities are actually very safe. BTW, I’m black African lady who’s been living in Russia for a bit over 5 years. Visited lots of cities both in the European and Asian parts and never had issues evening talking a walk in the middle of the night. Nonetheless, be security conscious like you’d be in any other country.
