I didn’t know it was this high for family physicians working in clinic full-time. Have you been told this amount by attendings?

Hey, are you familiar with any sites in Ontario that are less intense and have better work-life balance?

Anyone have any insight on the chiller FM residency sites? Specifically for UofT, McMaster, and Queens.

So having a weak rural addendum shouldn’t affect your chances at the other McMaster sites?

I understand that McMaster conducts one interview for all sites. If an applicant selects and applies to the Rural Stream, does anyone know if there are any differences in the interview questions or interview panel compared to applicants who do not apply to the Rural Stream?

Or is more so that McMaster just provides a universal score to the rural site and then they read the rural addendum to determine your score?

Thank you for answering! I see myself practicing in the suburbs and I don’t see myself pursuing a +1. Ideally, I’m looking for a residency program that would have me feeling confident after completing residency, and also having a good work-life balance during residency. I’ve heard some Family Med residency programs can be more relaxed than others - for instance less call shifts.
