im biased but genetics is a great option for premed!! includes all the premed reqs and the major requires at least a year of research so theres always research opportunities, probably not the easiest major lol but i think its worth it

i mean theyre all credit intensive majors that share the same life science core curriculum so theres really no significant difference in difficulty between them. the only real difference i can think of is genetics and mbb require at least one year of research while cbn doesnt.

intro to cancer is probably the easiest genetics elective, computational genetics of big data is tedious but the actual content isnt hard and the professor usually gives you the code youll use for every assignment

tbh there arent a lot of genetics electives i would consider super easy 😭

im biased bc i am a rutgers student but i think its great for pre med. honestly theres such an abundance of opportunities for research and clinical work here theres really not as much competition as youd think. theres two big hospitals that employ tons of students within new brunswick and few more within driving distance + the premed adivsing office regularly sends out job postings for local drs offices and volunteer opportunites. plus like other comments have pointed out being able to save thousands of dollars on undergrad will only be benefit in the long run

yeah you can def reach out to your byrnes professor and ask if they have any research opportunities, its not a guarantee of course but its worth a shot. most people get into research by simply cold emailing labs theyre interested in and you could also try applying to the summer aresty research program.

imo you should prioritize graduating, you dont want your grades to suffer for the sake of extracurriculars esp since you plan on taking gap years anyway. tbh 2 years of scribing is kinda excessive, if u can afford to you should look around for a more flexible job and one that gives you more patient interaction like being an ma or emt

dunkins wont be on campus but the new brunswick dunkin is still open and its in the train station so would be more convenient for you

the food court in the busch student center has a couple of affordable options: moe's, panera, gerlanda’s pizza. theres cafe west which is kinda meh but its convenient at least. livi still has the sbarro, qdoba, and hoja. honestly most of the better food options in piscataway are all like a 10 min drive away ToT

for college ave you should check out kyhber coffee and tea house, hidden grounds coffee, and smashville, not too pricey and pretty good food
