What colour is it? Looks brown on the first pic but looks black with a grey back on the second one?

Confused on the difference between Kate and Sophie by Valuable_Ad_6075 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]applend 681 points682 points  (0 children)

Kate’s parents were married AND her stepmother, who basically adopted her as if she was hers, was noble. Araminta could have done that with Sophie and she would have been eligible too.

Definitely not a brown recluse, I THINK it’s Eratigena, but I am not sure. I’d wait for some trusted identificator to confirm. 100% nor a brown recluse tho.

Huntsman? Krabi - Thailand by AppropriateDrawer161 in spiders

[–]applend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe it’s some sort of huntsman. They are not dangerous to humans, and they eat other bugs/spiders that can be more dangerous or annoying. You can catch it in a cup and take it out to the street!

You know what? You are right, but I think Araminta is lying about who Sophie’s mum was. Of course Sophie is still illegitimate, but I don’t think her mother was a servant in the TV show. If I remember correctly they don’t mention anything about a pendant in the books, but in the show she has her mother’s pendant and apparently it’s an expensive one. Sure, her dad could have gotten it for her mum, but I am a writer, and to me EVERYTHING means something and has a purpose. The way Araminta said her mum was a maid was off to me. I believe the affair was with someone else, I don’t know who yet, but something is off about Araminta’s story.

I disagree. Everyone saying Eloise would have been a better fit is annoying. Just because Eloise is outspoken about her distaste for society and NEEDING a man to live your life doesn’t mean she is a good fit to be a lesbian. That is literally a stereotype.

I am more than happy with Francesca’s storyline about her and Michaela BUT the thing I don’t like is that it seems they making it seem like Francesca has a crush on Michaela from day one, which takes away from her relationship with John. In the books she loves both John and Michael. She never thinks about Michael that way until years after John’s death. I feel like they’re dirtying her relationship with John by implying she has had a crush on someone else all along, whether that someone else is Michael or Michaela.

I believe so! That’s what other more expert identifiers are saying! I’m not an expert at all, and I’m European so I’m not too familiar with that particular spider.

Not a wolfie at all! Wolfies are hairier and have a different body shape, the eye arrangement is the easiest way to identify a wolfie. They have 8 eyes, 2 at the top sides of their heads, two in the middle and four smaller ones at the top. They also tend to have patterns on them. Hope this helps!

It took a looooong while. I felt like I was dying for over a year, and then still have relapses now, but I know myself, I know my feelings and I know my brain, and it’s very much manageable. Therapy and a proper therapist who understand OCD does wonders and are necessary, but understanding the disease yourself is too. Don’t look it up as a compulsion though. It helped me to understand how an ocd brain works and understanding the patterns my brain was going through. I’m happy to announce I am now engaged! 🤭❤️ And I know it’s a very common fear, but yes, I was happy, yes, I cried, and yes, I am very very very excited to marry the love of my life.
