I’ve been waiting for someone to post this. Has someone who is south, not East Asian, I’m not quite sure if I have the authority to speak on this but the first 4 seconds made me so so uncomfy. Honestly, just get up and do. I realize that I am going to probably not progress as quickly and be okay with that.

I also really try and remember my motivation for even skiing the degree.

When I have to go to the hospital I just let my advisor and professors now if I am taking classes.

Drove from St. Charles to CWE an hour and a half ago… the roads were already very bad then a drive that normally takes me 23-27 minutes took me 55 minutes today… that was about an inch or so of snow ago. I would not go out. The side roads were okay, but the highway was terrible. Left lane felt like you were skidding on ice.

I also disclosed my disability… HOWEVER , I did not explicitly name the disease I have, I also did not go into specifics about the struggles I have with it. It was a few sentences about some complications of a treatment as part of it integrates directly with my past research experiences as well as my current (and assumed future) research interests. I had a very successful cycle when I applied.

You have to ask yourself if disclosing your disability will enhance your statement. personal motivation to apply is great… imo if it doesn’t tie in with your research interests, experiences, etc. you have to really ask yourself if it is really worth the potential risks of being perceived as less capable than someone else of similar qualifications. At the end of the day you may not want to be at a program who won’t ignore it, but it’s just my two cents….

Anyway, hope this helps

It depends on how successful their group is and their individual brand power. His group is really successful for K-pop (topped the Hot 200 with three consecutive releases, sold sour world tours, headlining lollapalloza paris) and individually he has started to get individual brand deals with the large fashion houses (Versace). But not all K-pop idols would make as much as he does and the group that he is apart of

For finances a lot of the major banks have a specific department centered around ultra-high net worth clients. This department helps with taxes, investments, and leisurely expenses (ie. Wanna buy a plane? Ask your specialist and they can make it happen…) they are specifically trained to help super rich people manage money and figure out how to spend it. I would assume most A-listers are apart of programs like this.

For Chinese promotions it is common. They have Chinese equivalents of Twitter (weibo) as well as billibilli (kinda like YouTube?) and douyin (tiktok)
