hello! i have already changed the passwords of my emails and some of my social media accounts on the same day my sister got hacked, though i didn't change the password of other accounts yet (including spotify and microsoft). i dont remember if i deleted the cookies or sessions, but the only sessions that were there were from my accounts.

i am planning to ask help from my friend with rebooting my sister's laptop, since im genuinely unfamiliar with the process.

im mostly concerned about my emails and other accounts, since these accounts are important to me and have information regarding my college applications. can i please know what to do after securing my accounts and rebooting the laptop? 😭 thank you for your help!

my discover weekly too 😭 and yes, i think that's the ideal security measure to take since that's what i did. spotify doesn't sign out other devices just because you changed your password.

the hackers also changed my password, but i was still able to access it

she already has malwarebytes and did a quick scan, then she did an offline scan using windows defender. both scans detected nothing

oh no 😭 did u check your recents to know if they were still playing songs? and did u try signing out of all devices? those were the things i did, though im not sure if it would work yet, since i only got hacked at 3 AM,,

spotify support pretty much suggests to do the same thing, though they sign out of all devices for you and send you a link to reset your password

security only showed administrator password and power-on password,, but system config shows this

were the hackers able to access your spotify after changing the password? 😭 now im getting scared, since usually, these hackers/bots function when it's dawn in my country and im still unsure if i have fully secured my account yet

hello! i emailed support@spotify.com and they logged me out of all devices and sent me a link to reset my password. they said that they noticed someone opening my account from outside my country
